Twas okay, not as good as the previous video, though. Could you use a more powerful song? Something from Fountain?

Not convinced. Make one with a fast strong battle oriented score and I'll maybe consider switching sides.

You want us to make fast-paced tracks out of movie OSTs and fit them perfectly? Err okay.
What is it that you want anyway, to learn, Pwener. If Mansell is capable of epic music?

If a track fitted everywhere that would be a very bad sign...

The third experiment. Does Mansell's music fit the MEverse? This time I used Aftermath from the Smokin' Aces OST. This test is special since this mission is both heavy in combat and mini-cutscenes. Fits well, in my opinion, makes the mission a lot more 'tragic' to me. After all, several Quarian marines, scientists and Tali's father died on the Alerei. I'd say that this experiment is succesful.

i had no idea he made that soundtrack, that's so awesome. he'll be great. i hope him and wall could both make the OST.

@Silmane: The first one was great. The second one was ok however it felt really epic from 1:32 onwards.

Overall I don't worry about ME3 soundtrack. Clint is great and I'm sure that he will pay respect to the great themes from ME and ME2 and make ME3 even more awesome. Shame he didn't score a film that had music with as much ''raw power'' as ME2 or ME did. We could have a bit more material to work with then.

Friggin' awesome stuff guys. It's hard to make an OST from something else to correspond in points to something utterly different. Phaedon, I thought 3 was great at Tali finding her father. The tone of the music actually made that scene much more compelling than what actually happens in the game. And Silmane, awesome work on the opening of the game. Your second is experiment is great too. Let that play out with the music kicking in. Wasn't Garrus about to die? That would have epic-er.

Yeah, I actually cut that for spoilers, but it's being mentioned so now I want to go back and remake it, haha. Thanks. =) I'm trying to work up a couple more. It's motivating me to edit more, if anything.

If there's anything to be said about Mansell's soundtracks it's that they very specifically fit the themes of the films he's working on. It's no wonder that these ME2 experiments kinda work, to varying degrees of success. I still say Mansell could produce an excellent OST if he does his homework and looks at BOTH ME1 and ME2 to see how each soundtrack colored and shaped its respective game. Mass Effect is a pretty big name now, attracting some big name actors, so I hope and expect that Mansell will take this project seriously and do it justice.

Disliked Mansell's music in "Doom" (just ambient music the whole time!!! I could easily take out sticks and stones and make my own ambient music)
Disliked Mansell's music in "The Fountain" (wtf repetitive string piece played OVER AGAIN)

Pre-judgment for ME3: Dislike soundtrack.

I really missed ME1's soundtrack. There were actual THEMES for every world you visited. Unlike ME2 where almost every song was just a remix of the original ME2 theme.

^Well, that's just your taste.

Also I done 3 video experiments( planned just 1 but it would be too big to upload on Youtube with my internet connection) and I hope I'll upload at least 1 tomorrow.

I completely agree with you Undertone, I really loved the CC music for both ME1 and ME2. I just hope that Clint Mansell is up to it. I have faith in Bioware and their choices, so I'll try not to worry.
