Lets face the facts, some of the teammates in ME1 and 2 were just some
random people who have some skills but aren't the best so to solve this
problem you add a bunch of spectres who gets the job done at all costs
and make the overall team better and just plain badass. Plus you need
the best of the best to fight the Reapers so you might as well make a
badass team with spectres. Old teammates should be in the team like
Garrus, Tali, Grunt, Wrex, Liara, Legion, and Mordin. The rest of the
weak, non interesting teammates should just get some random cameos
because it would be a waste of money to develope their character
further. And to finish off the team, have Shepard recruit other
powerful people to replace the weak ones and then the Reapers would crap
in their pants when they see Shepard's new team.
I hope Shepard adds at least 5 spectres to his team in ME3

One additional spectre maybe, but five?

I think with that many spectres you'd run into the problem of "to many cooks in the kitchen" since other than Shepherd the 3 spectres we've seen have all been solitary indivuals

Problem is why would Shep be in charge in that scenario? he has what 3 years experience? While an asari spectre might have 500+ years experience

I've already recruited the "best of the best" and I'm not doing it again.

you still want more recruiting? jeez

If you only ended up with a couple of surviours you may need to recruit some more. Bioware can't discount the possibility.
Or they could put you in a situation with an entirely new team anyway just to remove the variables. Don't see multiple spectres though.

Well do something like ME1 and recruit all of them in the very beginning and don't have too many recruiting missions and zero loyalty quests. In ME1 you only had 1 recruiting mission which was for Liara but you have 5 other squad members who joined without a quest.

There really doesn't seem to be anything that special about spectres other than them answering directly to the Council.

I think 1 spectre would be a switch. You would have equal power, which could lead to a power complex. I support a spectre squaddie in ME 3!

i wouldn't mind if one or maybe two joined but not through recruiting.maybe optionally choosing to aid you in the war.i really do want to see more of the spectres though.i mean come one, they're supposed to be the elite yet its shepard who keeps saving everyone.i quite enjoyed working with vasir albeit for a short period of time.

Except some of them have superpowers like Tela Vasir, hell she reminded me of Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars I was waiting for her to shoot lightning out of her hands! Hell Terminator Reaper was childs play compared to Tela same with Reaper Saren! Which really pissed me off.

spectres have a nasty habit of dying around shepard. 3 and counting, 4 if you include shepard.

From what I've seen the previous members of Sheps team are both loyal and veterans of Reaper encounters, and they weren't randomly chosen out of a hat. They know what they are up against and follow Shep willingly even so. Spectres are also highly valued, few in number and like Shep, would be better put to task leading their own teams. The Reaper fleet seems to be quite large, and I'm guessing that even with a combined military effort, everyone is going to be stretched thin trying to hold them off. That's just my opinion.
I do agree that some members of Shep's crew were lackluster, but they all had a unique combo of powers to bring to the table and they all trust Shep's judgement. Like any team, if no one trusts each other to do their job, you will most likely fail at your task because everyone will be trying to cover themselves due to mistrust. Experience also counts in this respect, everyone you've worked with previously at least has some idea of what a Reaper is and what steps they need to take to kill it. Other Spectres may have a tough time both trusting Sheps judgement and learning very quickly how to deal with Reapers which they probably have not encountered before. I wouldn't mind some missions where you worked with another Spectre, or fire teams lead by spectres, but not at the expense of having to replace a trusted, veteran teammate.
Shepard and team won't be able to deal with one Reaper at a time and expect the galaxy to be intact when they are finally done, that's my main reason for not wanting to lump a bunch of highly skilled Spectres into one place. But again, that is my opinion.

I've seen Spectres in action, I remain unimpressed. Two I've faced and two I've felled, what need do I have for Council yes-men.
Realistically though Spectres would only get in your way. The Council is firm in their policy of denial and if anything I expect to have to face off against a team of Spectres (regardless of choices made) with orders to bring the insane Shepard in to custody. Even if they weren't you'd just run into arguments of who's top dog. As long as I can get VS back and keep my ME2 squad I'll be happy.

if we get another spectre on the team, I do say TWO at the most. Remember Spectres often work alone but they would work with another spectre or two if called for.

The only way you could even be considered for Spectre status is by being one of the most dangerous people in the galaxy. Shepard is an N7 special forces marine with an exemplary service record, for instance.

5 Spectres? That seems quite a handful, plus who knows if they'd turn their back on shepard

If you want that many spectres the council should just spectrefy some of your teammates on the basis of skills and services rendered. I wouldn't mind 1 or 2 new spectres, or at least a sensation of them all actually doing something in the universe besides betraying the council.

Only if you mean to have the VS second human spectre, Garrus as turian spectre, Tali as quarian spectre and so on. Adding other 10 new characters at the end of the story is pointless.

Enough requiting please, it was fun in ME2 but in ME3 let's get to the point and fight reapers. Still we could make some old squadmates like Garrus spectres. Some more unexpected undercovered Spectre like Tali could also be a cool twist. Sucks to be you if you let them be killed though.

I can dig a Spectre team. Also an all-Spectre team could eliminate the need for recruitment since they'll likely just join up with Shepard. Spectres do work in small teams when they need to so it makes perfect sense given the scenario. Also who knows maybe the council will pull their heads out of the sand, apologize, and you make you a full fledged Spectre again, and then assign a bunch of other Spectres to help you get stuff done. That's what I'm guessing, otherwise the only other option is for Shepard to be a Pirate and look for more random people again, which would likely entail recruitment missions.
No matter how you spin it there'll probably be a few recruitment missions, and maybe even loyatly missions. I could do without loyalty missions though you'd think solving people's personal issues would take a backseat to the Reaper invasion.
I just don't want ME2's recruit somebody, help them with parents issues missions again. It's fun the first time, but replaying ME2 gets to be a drag because of it.
