She has pretty dark eyebrows though, so she's probably a brunette

I think there's a mod making Miranda a blonde.

Blonde people are practically non-existent in the time-line of Mass Effect. Blonde hair is a recessive trait and one that has been "weeded out" that far in the future.

They were originally going to make Miranda blonde but decided it went against the femme fatale image they wanted for her.

Its become rarer but certainly not non-existent in the MASS EFFECT UNIVERSE.

Does that mean it'll be gone entirely by 2183 in the actual real world timeline? Can't answer that one.

Maybe there'll be an opportunity to try and steal Kahlee Sanders from Anderson in ME3.

Well Conrad's a blond. Wouldn't hurt to have a blonde female.

We already had one, Ms Strahovski.

Oh wait that's right BioWare gave her dark hair.

To be fair, I've seen both the concept art and the texmod where she's blond again; Miranda definately looks better with the dark hair.

I don't really know a lot about genetics but isn't red hair less genetically common than blonde hair? so it doesn't seem like a hard thing to believe someone being blonde in mass effect universe when kelly is a redhead

Something I found odd as well.

Red hair, blonde hair and blue eyes are all recessive traits.

It actually says in one of the books that nobody has naturally blue eyes any more, but due to modern cosmetic standards people can basically choose whatever colour hair/eyes they want through implants/modifications.

So people can have these colours, but they'd be chosen.

Which makes me wonder if this is non-canon, or standard Shepard chose to modify his eyes for some reason.

In-game, she looks better as a brunette since that's the way the texture/model were created. It's very difficult to take a brunette texture and make it blonde without it looking like just a yellow recolor - on top of a very static and unanimated hair model. A brunette texture is made very dark with very dark highlights. If it was designed to be blonde from the beginning, we would have seen the texture with lighter highlights and different hair-texture - probably a slightly different model too. And I think we can all agree that Miranda doesn't look quite as stunning as the real (blonde) Ms. Strahovski. B)

No thanks. There are just too many blonde supposed 'love interests' in entertainment it seems.

Yes. The novels claims blondes are almost extinct, but that makes no sense at all. People can have blonde genes without showing it, so that would make blondes going extinct extremely unlikely. Also with genetic engineering, you know people will give their babies blonde hair.

If Bioware introduced a new female LI in ME3 I think she should be something other than a white female. Ashley and Miranda were both Caucasian, so any new human female LIs should probably be either black, Asian, Middle-Eastern, or mixed race.

Poor comparison.

If Miranda had blonde hair in game and Yvonne had black hair in the photo, Yvonne would still be more stunning. Yvonne is a real woman while Miranda is not.

Besides, blonde is not always better. Case in point: Olivia Wilde was so much hotter with black hair in Tron than she is with her natural blonde hair. FACT. Image IPB
