Poor comparison.

If Miranda had blonde hair in game and Yvonne had black hair in the photo, Yvonne would still be more stunning. Yvonne is a real woman while Miranda is not.

Don't look at me. I'm just agreeing that Yvonne is hotter than Miranda. No combination of hair colours will change that.

Although I'm not sure what being real has to do with anything. Rosie O'Donnell is real, does that make her hotter than Miranda?

I don't want a blonde love interest. I have no problem with blondes, but I think I've seen too many movies, video games, etc. with blondes being the main romance, love of the main character, etc.

No, but if you take an actress or model and use motion capture to create a video game character in her likeness, the actress is always going to be more attractive. As a real person she's more life like and her expressions and mannerisms more natural.

Fair point. Well, unless we're talking about Paris Hilton.

Although, as a matter of interest, I went and looked through my small blu-ray collection. Out of 19 movies with a key female love interest... two were blonde. Doesn't really mean anything, but still.

If Bioware introduced a new female LI in ME3 I think she should be something other than a white female. Ashley and Miranda were both Caucasian, so any new human female LIs should probably be either black, Asian, Middle-Eastern, or mixed race.

Yes, I think we can agree on that.

Besides, blonde is not always better. Case in point: Olivia Wilde was so much hotter with black hair in Tron than she is with her natural blonde hair. FACT. Image IPB

I second that opinion. ME3 needs a non-white female love interest (for a change). In fact ME needs a non-white male love interest that has a good romance arc and isn't just thrown in there. If the ME female human LI has to be Caucasian, I would definitely prefer she be blonde or at least brunette/red-headed, no more black hair.

It's difficult enough to make realistic looking humans in video games, the last thing we need to do is model off someone who doesn't have a soul.

Added a "reward" system for every few milestones of people joining, if i end up getting a paypal account soon i'll probably add a $20 raffle to a random person in the group after a certain amount of people in the group

personally I'd prefer a red-head LI, and Kelly doesn't really count. though it'd be nice if she did become a proper LI in ME3
though for all we know Tali might have blonde, red, purple or rainbow coloured hair :P or snakes for hair

Blonde people are practically non-existent in the time-line of Mass Effect. Blonde hair is a recessive trait and one that has been "weeded out" that far in the future.

They were originally going to make Miranda blonde but decided it went against the femme fatale image they wanted for her.

Its become rarer but certainly not non-existent in the MASS EFFECT UNIVERSE.

Does that mean it'll be gone entirely by 2183 in the actual real world timeline? Can't answer that one.

Actually yes it will be gone within the next 200 years. Also blondes are so rare in the ME universe that whats her name from the books stands out in a crowd.

Guys, blonds won't be "gone," because genes don't disappear, unless a population is wiped out. The gene for blond-ness may be rarely expressed, but it won't disappear.

This concept has absolutely no foundation in science. Rather, it contradicts elementary genetics.

Isn't there genetic modding in the mass effect universe anyways? So a parent could just decide they want a blonde chick, and besides there has already been a few blonde people like Conrad Verner so its obviously still around

There is gene modding, yes.  Kahlee Sanders is the only "natural" blond, that we know of.  What's inconsistent, though, is that people find her blond hair remarkable.  This must either be because she's a "natural" (no gene modding) blond, or because people choose not to have blond hair, either through the use of dye, or through gene-modding, anyway.

Nice catch, might've fallen out of style by then.

I guess the worry is that it's dissappearing, kinda scary.

I'm a natural blonde, but I dyed my hair dark purple because I prefer it that way.

Hey, it's only taste. I prefer dark haired people anyway. *Shrug*

Funny how in DA all we get are blondes (Alistair, Zevran, Anders, Fenris...well, white in his case) and in ME we get two brunettes (Kaidan, Jacob). /shrug
