I thought he was Lebanese, what are you on about? English!? No one named Zaeed Masani is from England.
Really? I have a mate from Cardiff who's first name is Zaeed, although Cardiff is in Wales and not England, it's still in the UK though! lol
Zaeed is likely not from Earth even, but his accent IS a British cockney accent, usually heard around East London.

He could just be an English person of arab descent.

to be fair, accents are nothing to go by. Anderson is English, born and raised in London and everythig. Zaeed is too old to be Colony born
I thought he was just born there?

I'm pretty sure he was raised there, but was computer-taught, so his accent would stay to that of a modern day american
American? Have you heard him speak?

I don't recall hearing that in any of the books - oh well *shrugs*. I always assumed he was born there and moved away at a young age. In any case being "computer taught" wouldn't be enough to give you an American accent if everyone around you has a southern English accent.

Huh? That makes zero sense.
EDIT: wait that's just rhetoric right?

Almost everywhere else it sounds just like a canadian generic accent. There are a few other obscure ones, but the southern one is the most well known and the most predominant.

I just tried to understand that, and you made my brain cry. Accents are a regional thing, independant of abstract pollitical borders. any accent originated within the american borders is an american accent. same goes for every other country in the world.Adugan wrote...
