I just saw a post saying Zaeed is Italian. Is this true? I thought he was English.
Well his given last name, Massani, at least originated in Italy, but he could have been raised anywhere really, as others have already mentioned.
And it is tough to use his first name to figure out where he's from, because parents can name their kids anything they want.
Google "baby names" and you'll find the tons of sites that give info about names and even statistics!
And the spelling of his first name, Zaeed, is very uncommon it seems.
I've only seen two websites that mention the name, and name is claimed to be of Austrailian origin, so meh.

Kinda off topic, but to those of you who read the Star Wars: Republic Commando novels (if there are any of you out there) did Zaeed perfectly fit your imagined image of Kal Skirata like he did me?

He's half Arab.
(holds out in the vain hope that someone will catch the reference)

He sounds British. Which means judging by his name he is of Greek or Italian decent yes but him and his family for a couple generations anyway have lived in the UK (or Mass effect universe equivalent) before going into space.

Ok, before things get even further out of hand with an accent/country war, Zaeed shoots stuff, who cares where he's from?
