It would be cool if each type of response was a different voice actor.
it would have been even cooler if you could pick from different type of voices, oh well.
I will miss mute main character thats for sure, and hawk has less face expression that: Lili, Morrigan, zev, Ogrhen. When you talk to this characters in origen, look at the faces, compare with ladyhawk.

Wow, female Hawke's voice is simply horrendous. I'm so glad I'll be playing male Hawke.
Why can't it just be "not that good" or "kind of dissapointing" It always has to be the worst thing you've ever experienced.
It's either the best thing in the world or hell with you guys <_<

Hey now...I think it's a very good quality voice and the actress herself is very talented. It's just not the type of voice I wanted for Lady Hawke...and it's too innocent sounding for me to take seriously. But alas...I will wait until I play it Lady Hawke an adiquate amount of time before I render final judgement.

To the new 'Lady Hawke VA guessers' it's worth remembering that they are focusing on casting Brits where appropriate as well. Hence Nicholas Boulton as Beardy Hawke. Don't think it's definite that she'll be British (Cornish is actually based in Canada I think, she is even dating Mark Meer haha) but someone with a British background who has a high probability of doing a convincing RP accent is likely.
Other than her I'd stil love it to be Cauthrien's VA, despite her seemingly not having voiced a character in ME.

Exactly! Sweet face, feminine voice, and the ability to cleave your head in two. It's perfect!
I agree. I like the fact that her voice is softer and more feminine. I remember a while back saying something about FemShep’s voice being a little too mannish for me and a few people stated that having a rougher voice does not equate with her being perfectly female--so it’s odd for some people to complain because FemHawke’s voice is softer, she can’t possibly be seen as an ass kicker. Just odd to me, I guess.

I'm rather conviced she is Kath Soucie, who hasn't been mentioned before, or at least not that I've seen.

And yes, I know Morrigan also had that accent. It's still not appropriate for what we know of the PC.
She should sound like this.
lol ok that *would* be funny....
My fave voice for tough-as-nails characters though had to be Courtenay Taylor as Jack/Subject Zero in Mass Effect 2. She played that one really tough and forceful, but her softer voice is gorgeous too. If I picked my OWN Lady Hawke voice, it probably would have been her. No accent though in that role... I like her voice though. It has that slightly breathy thing that works for me.

I don't think that male Hawke's voice is worse. They picked up very talented actors (I assume, but we'll check this when we will play the game for a while) with pretty voices. I really wonder who picked them and how long did it took to make such a decision ??

She was good as Sharon Cassidy in Fallout New Vegas too, another touch character.

I admit I really dislike the femhawke from the video, especially the walk. I much preffered the more realistic walk from dao that everyone was calling a man walk. And I wish there was a toggle for 'I'd prefer an ideal of a woman to be defined by her being powerful and capable like the ideal for guys in, instead of the ideal for ladies being how great they can look' that made you much buffer and walk like an adult instead of the weird little girl walk they put in.
....still gonna play the game tho. I'm weak.
This messege is approved!
While very much impossible and financialy unfeasable....a toggle would be ideal...IMO.
My response from another thread....this bout sums it for me. Because when I play female characters...I want to be as close to a woman like Aveline as possible....I want my Lady Hawke to be a Valkyrie...musclar arms, athorative booming voice etc...thats why I like FemShep...thats the closest I have seen to this.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm rather conviced she is Kath Soucie, who hasn't been mentioned before, or at least not that I've seen. She has done minor roles, both in Origins and Mass Effect and the old timers might remember her as Aerie in Baldur's Gate 2. I am also awfully convinced that she voiced at least some female main character voice sets in Neverwinter Nights, although uncredited.
I just can't see it being Marjolaine Mothma I'm afraid. Happy to be proven wrong, although I think I prefer Cornish and Wilton Regan's voices over hers.
As for the whole walk/feminising thing, I think this is always going to be an area where Bioware can't please everyone. Short of hiring two VA's or something. Different strokes for different folks, for what it's worth I've seen plenty of people complain that FemShep is too manly (or whatever) and will probably welcome a more feminine Lady Hawke.
Plus I'm sure she'll still be plenty badass.
Edit:

Not sure if your point about it not being appropriate was serious given the linked vid, but I'll re-assert my opinion that just because someone is from what would be considered a backwater area doesn't mean they should naturally come with the local accent. Especially if they have family who don't use the accent.
On a somewhat related note, do we know whether Hawke has lived in Lothering his/her whole life? Not sure when Leandra is supposed to have settled in Lothering with Daddy Hawke?
Now a Hawke of Chasind descent would be a different kettle of pineapples.
