No worries. And I can see the connection to anime, especially within said genre of entertainment that Fenris seems to fulfill. The white-haired badboy, immortalized in Final Fantasy 7 via Sephiroth (while FF7 is a game, not an anime/manga, the style is heavily influenced by such, noted by certain exaggerated features, such as the eyes). Another popular example would be Riku from Kingdom Hearts, and the protagonist from Vampire Knight (et cetera, the list goes on and on I'm sure) I suppose. I see. Now all the pieces are falling into place.

I think his voice sounds off for some people because it's slightly scratchy and older-sounding. That's how it was for me at first; I thought Fenris looked too young for his voice. It's hard to tell with elves!

Mmmm..very interesting voice. I think I like it.... Much deeper than I originally thought it would be, but not deep enough to compare to someone like Robin Sachs.

Maybe I expected differently because when I originally saw his concept art back in the day, I saw his body type to be lean, and I had also taken into account the lyrium infused within his skin. So I thought, he was perhaps a mage, and if not than definitely a rogue of some sort.

But there he is, wielding a big ol' buster sword with a firm yet deep voice---I have to say, very refreshing, very refreshing indeed.

WOW! Gideon Emery's voice is just amazing. I love it! Fenris is great looking but you all should take a look at Gideon himself, not bad at all hehehehehe...yeah ok I'm weird, lol.

It could be, but the BW writers are good at turning stereotypes on their heads, and I believe I recall seeing David Gaider posting something like "if they think that it means they don't know anything about anime."  I don't know anything about anime, so I'm not really qualified to judge!

All the elves got a redesign to have larger eyes, the prominent forehead and hose, and larger, more prominent ears, as well as being taller and thinner than in Origins.  It's an attempt to make them visually distinctive from humans.  I could have done without, but Fenris himself looks fine to me.  I'm more into voices anyway.
