I will say this is the first time I've ever felt tempted to use the default model first. I do for Shepard, but that's just because his model is leagues and leagues better than any of the others.

Only an hour? That's pretty quick.

Not I. The only default appearance I ever stuck with was m!Shepard. Never could make a unique Shep who didn't look like he was run over three times by a steamroller and then attacked by wild animals. It was relatively easy to make a good-looking Warden, male or female, so I shall take the unique path once more.
Hah, QFT
'twas the case for male & fem Sheps for me. I thought the default f!Shep was ugly too, so I ended up playing a guy.
I will be making my own Hawks, however. DA CC is much better to work with.

When I start up a new game, my boyfriend refuses to watch, because I spend so long with it.

Mind you, this will probably change once I get my hands on the character creator and start drooling over all the different hairstyles. XD

Lady Hawke? She's cute. No doubt about it.
But I think I'll reuse my old warden face model. Maybe I'll add a little change to suit DA2 art.
I don't understand. Why have you turned Dragon Age into a JRPG? Why? WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS?!? *froth at the mouth rage*

This. Typically, I'll spend about an hour on a single face. But then, inevitably, I won't like it, so I'll spend an hour on another one. And so on. Until insanity happens. Three or four days later, I'll have a face I'm happy with.
Just to clear up a couple of points:
1) Apparently the demo doesn't have a CC, you just have the option of class and M/F default face. Unless this has changed since last I checked?
2) Is it confirmed that we can't change default Hawke? So I can't have the same face with longer red hair, I'll have to start from scratch?

1. So heard I. No CC in the demo.
2. It was confirmed that we can't change the default Hawke, but t's pretty unclear to me whether Gaider meant just M!Hawke or both M and F.

I'll look through the custom presets, find one I love, make a few changes to make her pretty, look back at the default face because my custom Hawke looks vile, then go back to custom. Rinse and repeat for 5 hours before I reach for the pills to end it all.
Probably something similair to this for me as well. Let us see if this will be the first time ever that I choose to use a preset face. I really like the looks of the "default" female Hawke.
I too, tend to take forever to customize my characters.

Subsequent runs, and my canon run for that matter, will make use of the face generator.

But I'll customize, too. I hope I can keep the hairstyle, though. Like it a lot. Morrigan's hair (and face) was better, but Hawke's hair is nice, too.
Why does everybody want to get rid of the blood smear?? I think I'll keep it.

''Gaah! Those cheekbones are too sharp!'' *RESTART*
''Why does the skintone look too unnatural?!'' *RESTART*
''Eeek! The nostrils!'' *RESTART*
''The first hairstyle I used was far better, what was I thinking?'' *RESTART*
''Mother, Carver and Bethany look terrible/boring! I'll need to go through every single preset.''
I'm not superficial, honest.

JRPG?
At first I was considering this as "my canon"

In case, you are wondering, it is not official story. But my very first idea to create my own story.
But then, I thought JRPG doesn't have character creator:

To make this:

and this:

Queen Anora telling a story; "Once upon a time, Amber Cousland gave her life to save the world...."
I love Dragon Age very very much. I finally can tell my own story.
My Warden's tale will never end. And so too with Hawke's story.
Every Dragon Age's heroes will not be forgotten. They are immortals in my realm.
As long as Bioware support the toolset to create our own character and tales.....
Edit: I am very poor with BB codes.
