After redownloading all DLC (to fix huge numbers of problems with each one, which worked) Awakening didn't appear on the download list of addons in game.
The redownload was achieved by renaming all the XMLs in 'C:\\Users\\Michael\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings\\', forcing the game to forget any broken (& unbroken) DLC it already had. Do I need to reintroduce any of the XMLs to get Awakening working again (without reintroducing the original problem) or is there something else I need to do?

Sorry if I'm being a bit moronic.
Thanks for all help in advance, hope to get this finally fixed :D.

First of all, the Ultimate Edition comes with everything bundled, so you should not have needed to re-download the DLC, merely authorize it. Did you install the Ultimate Edition over a previous installation of the game? That has been known to cause Awakening to disappear.

See the some of the links in the following posts:

nope, the DLC was genuinely broken on download, authorisation did nought, redownload fixed it.

Ultimate Edition is the only copy of DA I own. I'll check the threads, thanks v much

OK. If the DLC had errors on download, is it reasonable to assume the whole installation did? Since it was all part of the same download for Ultimate Edition?

Homebrew fix!

Edited the current addins.xml to include the section detailing DA:A from my old addins.xml (pre-dlc redownload) one copy paste later and its there.

Thanks for the info, LeftRight92. Had to do the same after using the "fix" from EA to delete all DLC and redownload them, just glad I had kept a backup copy of Addins.xml.

my original question remains , is there anyway to re-install awakenings seperately from origins if origins is already installed? Im trying to reinstall awakenings without having to reinstall origins.

I am having similar issues. I just installed dragon Age Origins so I could replay the game. Then I went to the origins downloader and downloaded and installed Awakening. Now origin says I have awakenings installed, but it is not showing up in game. When I try to load saved games made with awakenings (from the past) I get the warning that awakenings needs to be installed. So basically origins says its installed, but the game says it is not. Also if I try to uninstall awakenings, it does not show up as something I can uninstall. What are my options to correct this issues?

EA Customer Support ( support.ea.com ) .

Can take a while to get someone (I find "Live Chat" works best) but they've been able to resolve my issues every time.
