I've been using windows 7 for quite awhile now.. The CC works great on it. It takes my Ram usage from around 600 to 1.05 gigs.. but most applications do that.. heck firefox does that. Cpu usage goes up to 85% to 90% which has me a bit worried about how the game will be.. but I have a core 2 duo which is the minimum CPU so thats probably normal.. You'll most likely have a better than spec CPU if your getting a new Laptop.

Dude, the game was originall going to come out a day or two after Windows 7 (before it was pushed back). So it is extremely likely that Dragon Age will be completely compatable.

I tried the character creator in windows 7, everything works fine, but usage of CPU and memory are horrible. I gonna back to XP if I want to play DA.

Really?.. Mine works great on full settings.. and what I really like about windows 7 is that it seems to shut down other non essential programs to run what your specifically doing at the time.. Like when I use photoshop cs4 starting with my Ram at 600 or so.. When I get done using the program and shut it down my Ram will be at 400 or so.. Photoshop has never lagged out or frozen on me.. Oblvion (un-modded) even runs at full settings for me which it never did in XP on the same system specs.

It's just important to realize that Windows 7 is not an OS that is supported by Bioware for this game. This just means that if there was a bug to come up with Windows 7, it would not be high priority to fix... so you might end up having to deal with that bug for a few weeks/months until they get around to fixing it.

I made a similar topic, care to do a little searching before making another?

Have to run the CC as Addministrator. Without it will not upload characters.

Really? I'm using the Win 7 RC (x64) and I can get mine to upload characters without running as admin.

Yes. CC shows uploading data in both cases but without running as Administrator it will not upload anyway. I am using Win7 ultimate final 32bit.Chimervera wrote...

Yes running cc fine under windows 7, very few thinks that work under Vista have any problems under windows 7, it's little more than a fixed and slightly enhanced version of Vista. I upgraded to change to 64bit OS rather than because Windows 7 is that radical.
