*sigh* I also have problem with my debit Visa. Every time trying to buy points I get that "An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later." message. The worst thing is that transaction of some 70 eurocents they charge me for each try goes through just well (whatever it is anyway - taxes?). wtf. >.<

Those charges usually come off after a week or two, thankfully.  I've read that whenever they validate your card, they temporarily charge a small amount ($1 USD for me) to make sure you have money you can actually use.  Meh...

I'm having difficulties finishing a transaction as well. I've been able to use my Paypal account without any issues in the past, having purchased almost all of the previous DLC for Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

Now when trying to add points to get the item pack for DA II, I receive the "An error has occurred... Please, try again later," message. I've tried some of the workarounds in this thread but none seem to be working.

Any response on the matter would be appreciated!

EDIT:  So I waited a bit, and this time I was able to get my purchase through.  I don't know if it's because I closed and re-opened my browser in that time, or changed the amount of points I was purchasing, but it worked!

Yesterday I've managed to buy points twice using paypal. But few hours later I wanted to buy another lot for the last DLC and I'm only getting "An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later" message. WTF?
Edit: Today I've managed to get a bit further, went through PayPal and then came back to Verify & Complete stage and got this message: "An error occurred while processing your request. If you canceled your
purchase at the third party payment website, this error is expected.
Code: {0}"

Some prepaid cards have issues when purchasing online because they do not have a physical address linked to the card, as in the case of pre-loaded cards. If you can, contact the financial institution that issues the card and see if you can update the information for the card to reflect your personal information and attempt to purchase BioWare points again.

If you continue running into errors, you can purchase BioWare points from the Origin Store http://store.origin.com . Make sure when you begin the finalization process that you are logged in with the same account that you have for your BioWare profile to ensure the points are put on that account.

Hi !

Please help me. I have bought the ME1 and the ME2 and I bought a lot of Bioware points.
I have installed the games. By starting the ME2 asked for my EA e-mail address and password.
It is not my first original EA game , so what I entered it was an existing account.
Then it asked for the key to the Cerberus Network and I provided it too.
I think it is the same as the CD-key of the game installation , as there was no other code to the game .
( It is also written on the pack that it contains a specific , individual code ).

So the system accepted what I entered , returned to the main menu , and in the lower right corner it writes : " Activation of Cerberus Network ".
Has it now indeed been activated or not ?
Is the Cerberus Network at all accessible ?
I do not have such a menu point as Downloadable Items .
I have then registered the game on the site Social.Bioware.com , which has immediately accepted it.
My Bioware card says that I should go to the site social.bioware.com/redeem and there I should enter the package-points code.
Anything I write in , there comes the answer that the key is already in use.
My keys are new , unopened Bioware keys ; so I do not understand why the system says that.
If I click on profile -> add Bioware points , there I can only purchase new ones.
I do not want to buy new ones ; I want to activate my existing ones that I have already paid for.

Please somebody help me
Thank you in advance

If you are having code issues, please contact the Customer Experience team by selecting "Contact Us" after logging in at http://support.ea.com.

Make sure you have your account information ready, including the date of birth on your account, email address, and any billing or other personally identifiable information.

Once the agent has verified account/game ownership, they will work to assist you with your code issues.

Currently unable to purchase Bioware Points. Attempts to purchase results in a "An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later." message. Have tried for a couple of days.

This issue occurred a week or two ago as well, then apparently went away when I purchased DA2: Legacy. It is now back, and annoying.

Well, a few weeks ago, I bought Arrival and a few other DLC's, had some problem with extra money being taken, but that was returned, but now I wanna get Shadow Broker, but nothing is working. I love Bioware, they make awesome games, but with the Sh**ty experience I've been having recently, I might just stop getting their games after ME3. Same goes to EA, although to be honest, I dislike EA as it is, never liked sports games...

This is what IE is telling about the points buy page. I've tried the ME2 screen as well and it was the same error.

I want to buy Arrival but I keep getting the same message: "An error has occurred... Please, try again later",. It seems that this is an old issue here, and we still dont have a solution

Chiming in - has anyone been able to purchase the points in the recent days? I get the exact same answer and despite trying the lighter workarounds of trying to DL from ME site, DA site, specific DLC site, no dice.

So, anyone?

Been having the same problem. An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later. (paypal) and We're sorry, but we can't perform transactions to this credit card. Please load a differnt one. (with 2 different cards). Contatced tech support:

Hello. I keep getting an error message when I try to purchase BW Points. I've tried with the paypal option and two different credit cards and I have plenty of money. Please help, I'm itching to play the new DLC.

First response:

Greetings,

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

I have gone through the e-mail and found that you are facing problem while purchasing the Bioware points. I am sorry to hear that you came across such an incident.

Please be informed that we have not received any contacts from the customers regarding the same problem. However, I would suggest that you please try to use different browsers (eg firefox, chrome, internet explorer). Also perform following troubleshooting :-

1. Empty your Temp folder to prevent file conflicts. Click here for steps on emptying your Temp folder:

2.Please end all background tasks to prevent conflicts with other programs. Click here for steps on ending background tasks:

3.Clear browser cache

4. Disable pop up blocker

My 1st reply:

Hi, thanks for your response. Unfortunately I followed your suggestions and have still had no joy buying points. I've tried now with 3 different browsers and on 2 different computers. Please find attached two screenshots of the error messages I keep getting.

2nd response:

 Hello again,

Thank you for getting back to us.

As per the provided screenshots, it seems that you need to contact your bank as your credit card needs to be updated.

Hope this information helps.

My 2nd Reply:

I've tried FOUR different credit cards now and paypal, still no joy! I don't think it's the card that's the problem.

So now I'm still stuck with no BW points and no DLC! :(

I used my credit card and when i clicked on "purchase" it said something like "error" (didn't read it carefully but it was about an error) but when i checked my points balance the 800 points i was buying was there. so does this means i succesfully purchased it?

"( ! ) An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later."

3 different payments options and they all failed. This is pissing me off and I waited 30 min. since the first few times. How can I buy brand new DLC if I can't get my points! So frustrating...

It's finally working. I'm sorry for being a whiny little b*tch.

Yeah, im having the same problem.
Im getting the "An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later." error. Have tried to place my purchase both through the dragon age page and mass effect page. And i've also tried ti 2 different cards, paypal and direct bank payment, But none of them works. In fact the page doesn't even try to contact my bank. So the problem obviously isnt with my card and/or bank.
I've also tried from two different computers and 3 different browsers.

So i guess no Mark of the Assassin for me :(

Sort this out EA/Bioware or lose sales!

(edit: I've never had any problem buying bioware points before. So this is a new problem for me)

Update: tried from a 3rd computer with yet another browser but get the same error.

This is re-arded. I try to use my card normally before, wouldn't work. So I used paypal(same card) and it worked. Now paypal won't work, nor trying to use the card. Firefox says "We're sorry, but we can't perform transactions to this credit card. Please load a different one" and a general error with paypal, and I.E. (with no plugins other than adobe fp) says unable to verify address, and paypal also gives general error. It's not my card, I used it just after, all day that day, and even now.
