I'm also getting the same error "We're sorry, but we can't perform transactions to this credit card. Please load a different one." no matter what card I use. I tried debit, credit, both Visa and Mastercard, to no avail. I just bought the points on the Origin store, as recommended, by logging in first and buying them afterwards. Seemed to work, but I didn't get either the receipt e-mail nor the points on my account yet. Does anyone know how long it takes for the purchase through Origin to be acknowledged on the BioWare account? I don't want to feel like I've been leeched out of 10 bucks. That's enough for a nice lunch.
Unable to purchase BW points, BW store errors out!

Having the same problem "Can't perform transactions to this credit card".
Same hilariously useless tech support, too. Yes, I have cleared my temp files. Yes, I have contacted my bank. No, there is nothing wrong with the card. They aren't, in fact, receiving any request for validation from the store site -- whatever is happening is happening locally, on Bioware/EA's end.

Ah, I'm facing that same problem now. Worse, am overseas now and the origins site automatically redirects to the region you're in, even limiting the country of your billing address. Arghhhh. Am going to retry later and hope for the best.

To duplicate the post I've just written here: http://social.biowar...88704/1#8553338
"Not the NU2010 error in my case, but the general, vague 'An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later' with Paypal and 'We're sorry, but we can't perform transactions to this credit card. Please load a different one' with credit card, basically the same issues as reported months ago on this thread:
http://social.biowar...9/index/6020556
Both Paypal account and card are Canadian and I am attempting the points purchase from overseas. And in the case of the more costly alternative from the Origin store, I've run into the same predicament as PussTheMabar describes in the most recent comment in the thread:
'Ah, I'm facing that same problem now. Worse, am overseas now and the origins site automatically redirects to the region you're in, even limiting the country of your billing address. Arghhhh. Am going to retry later and hope for the best.'
Best they be prompt in solving this. "

As I thought! When I edited my billing address information by simply changing the name of the proper country to that of the one where I am currently located, I was able to continue on to the Paypal website. The general error I and others have been seeing is a result of the system detecting that a connexion does not originate from the country named in the billing address.
So what then? Is there no way by which the Bioware payment system can accomodate those of us who wish to make our purchases from abroad?
(Incidentally, I've noticed the very same problem with Steam.)

Confirmed to work... create a PayPal account and use your credit card with correct billing address. Then on the Bioware purchase page, for address just tell it what country you are in and it'll work.
Thanks to affandi for this!!!

You're welcome, but has your credit card been charged? Would the mismatch created by selecting your country of residence on the purchase page eventually not allow the payment to go through successfully?

Will these issues ever be fixed? I can't purchase BW points for almost a YEAR now!
Worst service ever.
Funny thing, that later they will blame poor DLC sales on piracy...

Sorry for double post, edit button wasn't working.
I cannot confirm if this works with just the credit card. I used PayPal to process the transaction so I know that it works with that method.

i got the same msg too. It used to work! I have moved to the UK (was from Singapore) but since it was only for a year, I am going to keep and use my Singapore's credit card. But when I tried to use them, I can't seem to get them to work. Anyone knows why?

I really wish they would let some third party sell bioware points. I bought dragon age I and II from gametreemac.com and it's all been smooth sailing.

It is a very weird problem. I am positive I had 7.49 bucks on my card (prepaid VISA Electron), but got "General Error [generic blah blah] please try again later." when I ordered the 800 points for 6.97. I tried again and again, but got the same error again and again.
Then I tried the 400 points with the same card and it worked ... once. When I tried to again to get the remaining 400 points I want (MotA), it said error again. But I KNOW I have enough money on the card, so that should not be the problem.

Yep, “An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later” on PayPal. If it helps move this forward guys (meaning EA and Bioware), I'm a games journalist writing an article on Bioware's DLC after the announcement that ME3 wasn't going to be on Steam because of DLC issues. I'll be mentioning this.
EDIT: Tried buying them through the EA Store (why are they also more expensive?) - "The item you are purchasing it not eligible for purchase using PayPal. Only credit cards will be accepted as payment methods. We apologise for the inconvenience.(800 Bioware Points)". So I can't pay the way I want to.

I was trying to buy DLC for ME2 but no matter what payment method I choose I always get the same useless error message “An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later”. Congrats Bioware 12 month and 8 forum pages later and you still can't be bothered to fix a bug that is obviously preventing honest customers to buy your products...

I am Commander Shepard, and this is my least favourite online support system. Same problem. I tried 3 times and the same errors came up. If I get charged 3 times, I'm going to be upset.

I just used Google Chrome to buy points and it worked like a sweetheart. Browser compatibility/incompatibility issue or random luck/error?

Managed to purchase BW points twice yesterday. Third time I tried (today) I just get error Clegane76 posted above. I don't think that this is browser issue.
