Now we know Aveline is not a LI, we're left with two female romanceable companions. And three male possibles. Anders, Fenris and Varric. So who does everyone think will be the non romanceable? Image IPB

I don't know, but if Anders and Fenris arn't LIs, then I'm going to throw a fangirl fit.

There will be disappointment with any outcome.

well, at least one of them has to be, since we gals also get 2 male LI's. The question is, will Varric be one? (hope not. I like NAders more, and Fenris looks interesting)

I think Varric is unlikely simply for being the narrator but who knows. Has anyone seen any storyswhere the narrator as the romance?

I think Anders will be out. Probably because he's possesed and all. Fenris will most likely be romanceable.

I hope your right. I don't like the look of Varric at all, but he DOES have chest hair...

I'm hoping for Fenris and Varric, but who knows?

I think Anders will be fine when there is nothing involving mages and the chantry going on.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say that Varric will be un-romanceable. I believe that one of the DA2 developers stated that he did NOT approve of dwarf romances. And if you think about it, Varric is the one telling the story to Cassandra. I'd think that if he'd slept with Hawke, that it might alter his storytelling in some way, but the game can't know that Hawke will romance him until she does.

I'm in the minority, I know, but I'm skeptical about Fenris being a LI. He just seems WAY too stoic, serious, and detached to get emotionally involved like that. I could be wrong, but I just don't see Fenris wanting to be in a relationship. I see him being pretty asexual.

Gaider said he wouldn't write one. Mary Kirby is writing Varric, so that doesn't matter. He also stated that he wouldn't stop it from being written. Also, everything you do in the game alters the story Varric is telling Cassandra, so I don't see how that would stop him, either.

Exactly. But then again, Anders and Fenris aren't particulary...normal and both look destined for heartbreak, especially Anders with his demonic neighbour.

I'm sure flirting is available for a few companions/NPCs, but as for being unattainable in the long run, my guesses would be Aveline, Varric, and Sebastian. Yep, throwing in the towel with my thoughts of him as a full romance option. He's probably like Samara, a romance that almost was, but wasn't. *shrug*

Hahah what?

I really have no expectations other than those who're way obvious. IE. Isabela. After Sten not being a LI based on his looks, gave up trying to use that as a means of figuring out who was a LI.

I actually thought Aveline would be the Samara "romance" of DA2. They have like one kiss, but Aveline is unsure about her feelings for Hawke. But that's just in my head. Hoping DA3 is with Hawke, so maybe Aveline can be a LI there. At least have Samara be a romance in ME3. Especially after a glitch or something stopped me from getting Morinth.

You forgot Sebastian. Just because he's a DLC does not mean he may not be romanceable. Many people consider him more of a possibility than Varric, and argue that there may be a future female romance DLC. Just because it hasnt been done before does not mean it isnt possible, this is BioWare we are talking about after all. <_<

Yes, I imagine this is the case.

Fenris not being an LI seems very unlikely.

Anders seems pretty likely. I mean after all they did bring him back. The fangirls can be quite charming...or maybe terrifying is the word. ;D I'm hoping we get to romance him. Unfortunately, I think Varric is going to not be a LI. Which is disappointing. I love all three though. So I'm have many happy playthroughs I'm sure.

Only one that is really confirmed to be unromancable is Aveline. Isabela has been confirmed a romance option and since it wouldn't really make any sense to have just one female LI (who is also bisexual btw), its safe to say that Merrill is a romance option as well. We have absolutely no information about the male LI so it could be anyone of the two out of the three. I hope Bioware reveals at least one before the game is released.

Forum joke from a looong time ago.  Haha.

You know I'm so glad we're not yelling at each other over anything.  BSN ain't so bad as far as forums go.

Or is it because we fear the wrath of those devs/mods, as they sit in the rafters and watch us all...

Varris won't be one. I'd put money on that. Either way there will be delicious fan girl (or boy) tears.
