I think all the sex scenes in Origins were awkward, no matter the romance.  Haha.

Yes but it looks like they're improving them. Look at the Isabella kissing session. Imagine Hawke having to have to hold Varric off the ground while kissing.

I saw the "ew" quote in the original Varric fan thread and got the impression he was teasing (it's kind of hard to tell -- other people aren't clear on it either). He later clarified in the same thread that his original dwarf romance quote only applied to writing dwarf/dwarf romances.

I don't know. But she's very strong which threatens a lot of the less physically inclined male posters... so they are more afraid then eager at the prospect of jumping into bed with her.

A dev said she wasn't romanceable in one of the recent interviews. Don't remember which one though.
