I vote Varric for being unromancable, simply for the awkward sex scenes.
Awkward because the fact that he's including them in the story means he was spying on hawke and her lover?

Which thread? The Varric one or something else?Nimpe wrote...
I'm going crazy. I searched the first 3 pages over and over for this thread and I couldn't find it.

I certainly hope this is the case.

I'm getting on with Morrigan ;D I can now kiss her, get in! Well I can't at the moment, I'm in the weird "tower dream" I like being a mouse, but no Morrigan...
Are you posting in the wrong forum...?

I think Sebastian could be a romance of only one side of the friendship/rivalry spectrum. It would be "special" enough for a character from downloadable content.
But, what are the odds?
While I agree it's definitely possible, I don't see it as very likely. I definitely like Seb from the little I've seen from him, but I don't think most people will appreciate paying for an LI if they didn't preorder in time.

As long as he's not the only one, that would be fine.Miri1984 wrote...
They could make Seb a bi romance
To quote, well, myself from the M/M thread:
DLC romances for all: fine, wonderful, okay, good, all other kinds of positive adjectives.
M/F and F/F in base game, DLC for M/M: Not cool.

They won't be paying for just an LI. They will be paying for an entire, fully fleshed companion with, like, a purpose beyond a sex scene.fighterchicks wrote...

There was an article or interview or snippet a while ago which said Bioware is willing to create downloadable content about, with, or consisting of romance.

It doesn't matter. People will still complain that they're paying for an LI. Trust me, I agree with you. I don't care one way or the other. I have slight preferences over the LI's, but I think all the characters introduced so far are awesome.

That'll be interesting. I wonder if we shall see that this time around.

If Varric proves popular enough, I'm sure romancing him in the third game will be a sure possibility, cemented with the concrete fists of many many MANY fans. I get the impression he's going to be another Garrus / Tali.

I dislike being the hopeful and naive fan, but when was the last time there was a blatantly attractive man, like Sebastian, in a Bioware game, who was not a love interest?
Oh, someone will probably remind me of a few.

Thanks for the help. Damn bad news though. I was planning on romancing Aveline actually. Ohh well, I guess I will go for Isabela instead. 12 year olrd-looking elf girl is utterly out of the question.
Once we hear Merrill's voice, it may change the way people perceive her

ANDERS and Nathaniel, for starters. Many players also lament the fact that Sten was not romanceable. I didn't find him attractive, but others did. And let's not forget Bishop (I know, not BioWare, specifically, but still...). Going further back, some players found Edwin attractive, and Valygar. I don't play sci-fi games, so I can't list any from KotOR or the ME series, but you get the idea.Russalka wrote...

That said, I would not rule out a Sebastian romance. Didn't someone hint that the PC could flirt with him? In his introduction thread, I recall someone asking if he was romanceable and an official BioWare-type person saying that they'd have to flirt with him and see what happened. Think of how novel it would be! DLC with a new companion, new quests, and a new romance. All win, I say! Not that I would be willing to give up hope of an Anders romance to see it happen, though. My bitterest regret of Awakenings was that my poor Warden never got to show Anders how good being a Grey Warden really was.

There were NO romances in Awakening, Sten isn't "blatantly" attractive, Bishop wasn't BioWare, WAS evil, and I thought he was romanceable... And the only accurate depictions of Edwin and Valygar (Valygar WAS pretty- well, pretty
I wouldn't expect Sebastian to have a full romance, but conversely, I wouldn't rule it out by a long shot. I'd love it if he were, if only because it would jerk people out of this "Omigorsh, DLC can't be LI" absurdity that they seem to be possessed of. Not every DLC character needs to have a romance, but by no means should the fact that it's DLC factor into whether or not it's a romance.
