Well not bashing but...he certainly wasn't a popular LI. Not by a long shot.

Given that Isabela was married previously, I don't think she has a problem with commitment. She simply enjoys her flings.
That said, I'm not sure how you can compare 'dislikes commitment' to 'has a supernaturally enforced obsession with destroying the Chantry.'

If they didn't have a human male LI, they'd ****** off a lot of fans, me included.

I really doubt pissing off a few fans will really bother them that much. Big company, after all. And, hey, you don't like shorties? Romance Fenris. He's a little taller than Lady Hawke now. Just ignore the ears.

I don't know, but if Anders and Fenris arn't LIs, then I'm going to throw a fangirl fit.
Pretty much this. Fangirls' tears taste bitter Bioware~

People always use the "isabela was married" as though that's an indication that she has no commitment issues. We don't know whether she was faithful to the man, or that she even liked him. She didn't seem too broken up over the idea that her husband was killed and does refer to him as a "greasy bastard" in origins. I'm not saying that she does have commitment issues, just that we don't really know.

The tears must flow.
And I think they will when any of the 3 candidates are deemed unobtainable. Bio devs are crafty when it comes to theirlifecoffee source.

Yes, I view someone marrying as evidence that they're not afraid of commitment. Whether they like that person or sleep with other is rather irrelevant to whether they've made that commitment.

I'd say if the person has clear preference for cheating (i mean it in generic sense here, not specifically sleeping with others) then "commitment" becomes largely empty phrase. Making commitment can then very easily become case of merely making the other person believe that the commitment was actually made.Maria Caliban wrote...

The description of the character also seems to imply that Anders only resists being taken over completely until the Chantry is gone, if that becomes his entire focus in the end... I don't see happy trails ahead, especially if you're defending the Chantry (assuming you can do such a thing).

A commitment of what exactly? She wasn't committed to staying faithful or loyal to him. She wasn't committed to even really caring about him.

Marriage can be done without commitment to the other person if it's done for advantageous reasons, i.e., obtaining wealth or ship. She might be a gold digger.
What I meant above is that Anders could be afraid of being with anyone because of his condition. Isabela is probably afraid of love, in a sense (kind of like Zevran in that case). Commitment issues.

Said love issues are highligtened in the trailer when you see her and Hawke together. I believe she goes "You want to bring love into this?" in a concerned tone while she sort of wrings her hands nervously.
