A refreshing taste of things to come - The docs never dissapoint. 8-)

"The reapers are coming from somewhere, so be watchful that you're probably going to have to explore that world."
The plot thickens... bum bum bum.

The only new thing that we learn is that the story will focus on Shepard.

A couple of little things, I'm glad they haven't ignored where the Reapers have come from. Other than that, not much else in the interview. They really are keeping details close to their chest. Thanks for the link mate.

Just because they are releasing it this fall doesn't mean it will be great. For example DA2 was released about 2 years after the first, and they started to work on DA2 right before the launch of DA:O. So I'm assuming that ME3 was in production probably A year or 2 ago. I'm not too worried about it, but I wouldn't mind a later relase as well.

They said that in the ME2 pre-release info. "This is Shepard's story."

Best thing I've heard about this game so far.

Well at least we know we won't have recruitment and loyalty mission.
I think.

The whole trilogy is Shepard's story...your point?

What he said in the video isn't much to go by, but what I think he means is that it'll focus on Shepard as a character and perhaps maybe on his/her origin.

Now that I think about it, this piece of information along with the fact that Clint Mansell is scoring ME3...this game is definitely looking to be more on an emotional level and much darker than the previous entries.

Well, according to what Brandon Keener said in his interview with Retroplayer, at least some squaddies will be returning.

Zaeed - he done his job and he will try to get Vido and becouse of Reapers try to took over Blue Suns or if you killed Vido just try to take over Blue Suns or if he isn't loyal he would just leave.

Very low possibility to stay but cameo and side quest very possible

Kasumi - she went in hiding if has greybox or just say goodbye and leave if you destroy greybox( she is still loyal if you destroy it)

Very low possibility to stay if she has greybox but cameo or even important quest very possible. Greybox destroyed low possibility to stay and cameo

Samara - went to seek injustice but promises to help in future( Paragon) or just not to kill Shep( Renegade) and/or try to find Morinth if you scared her away in loyalty mission

Very low possibility to stay. Might possible to recruite later and LI if you try romance with her in ME2. Cameo and side quest very possible

Morinth - she just leaves with no goodbye

Extremely low possibility to stay and cameo

Thane - he decides to retire and went back on Hanar homeworld since he will die long before Reapers will come

Low possibility to stay but very possible cameo. For side quest low possibility

Possible to leave:

Tali - got message that she is elected for admiral and say to Shep it would be better if she leaves so he/she can have guarantee Quarian help against Reapers

Got nothing on if she is unloyal and survive( and exiled)
High possibility to stay if not cameo and important side quest are must go!

Grunt - say to Shep that he should get back on Tuchanka to help clan Urdnot

Got nothing if he is unloyal and survive
High possibility to stay if not cameo and important side quest are must go!

Character that wouldn't make sense to leave if didn't die:

Garrus( infiltrator) - no reason to leave loyal or unloyal
Legion( engineer) - no reason to leave loyal or unloyal
Jacob( sentinel) - no reason to leave loyal or unloyal
Miranda( sentinel) - no reason to leave loyal or unloyal
Jack( adept) - no reason to leave loyal but unloyal questionable
Mordin( engineer and scientist, might not be selectable though) - no reason to leave loyal or unloyal

After that you gain two new squadmates in case that none of them didn't survive and later gain 4 more to have Soldier, Inflitrator, Vanguard, Adept, Sentinel and Engineer( for balance) or get them right away but with good explenation for plot.

My opinion.

They aren't telling telling that much to give us a better picture of the end product. And considering Bioware on occasion says one thing and does another, I'm not gonna put much value in their words. The release of fall may still mean somewhere mid December since fall ends at December 21st.

Also said space exploration still part of it...so not as Earth centric as some feared.

Lol @ "Le Gasp"

I still wonder though, even though most of the game probably doesn't take place on Earth, will the game ultimately be about saving Earth?  Then again, ever since hearing Clint Mansell's on board, I almost don't care anymore because that guy's such an awesome composer :P

I agree on all except Tali. She has no expertise commanding fleets and one more quarian wouldn't be needed on the Flotilla.

She is seen as being pretty close to Shepard if she is loyal, even  female, unromancable one, I don't see her being in any hurry to go back to the Flotilla if she is loyal, and if she isn't then she wouldn't be able to.

I think most fans would be annoyed if it did, because it completely scales down the threat. Although it wouldn't surprise me if they did after watching that video:

"Having the Reapers attack Earth creates more of an emotional impact."

No it doesn't, it provides yet another overused plot device. I mean honestly, the most popular characters in the series are the non-human ones, isn't that an indication enough that making everything about humans isn't going to make people spaz out with glee?

I fail to see how that automatically rules out any possiblity of them making its focus too geocentric, its still a possibility but hopefully its one that never materalizes.
