It is sickening to have ingame characters flaunting their sexuality, regardless of ****** or hetero. No one told anyone to shut up and not post. Now, having said that, I'm telling you to shut up and stop posting such bile. If you're going to be so hateful and try and justify it by saying "I feel the same way about straight people!" then you really should think about just not talking.

Isabela isn't disgusting or disturbing because she's interested in spending the night with an attractive woman who just helped her out of quite the pickle. It's very in-line with her personality. If you're really so bothered by it, then maybe you shouldn't be playing video games. Or watching movies. Or TV. Or reading books. Or going outside.

Also, I'm a gay woman! I'm telling the whole world! I'm flaunting it, yeah!

And in regards to flaunting sexuality...in a sense you have to or no one would ever get together. Should everyone walk on egg shells just because someone may not be into the same sex? I mean really...people aren't mind readers. If they're interested, they will hit on you, no matter sexual orientation. And if you don't swing that way, politely say so and go about your day.

Untrue...  It's not the elf bit that makes me think he's the most likely m/m LI canidate... 

1)  Gaider is writing him...  And he's proven to be open to such things...
2)  He's said before he's wanted to use Gideon Emery's voice for an LI
3)  Anders was pretty darn straight from what I could tell in Awakening

True, true.
Although since Jennifer Hepler is now writing Anders, it could be a possibility. She wrote Hespith & Branka, and you would think Branka would be straight due to her marriage with Oghren. I don't mind if Fenris is the Bi option, he appeals to me to, but I wouldn't rule Anders out either. We'll just find out when the game comes out. : )

Nah dream everyone knows that if you're the same species you're exactly the same. That's why Morrigan and Leliana were nigh identical. They were both human woman after all. Bo-oring.

I think it just has to do with the steriotype that elves are femenine, and thus bioware choosing to make all their bi guys elves seems like they're playing into the idea that gay men are femenine. (Or that straight male players will find the bi guys even more threatening if they aren't)

I admit, I'm a bit wary of fenris for bi just because of that...but if he was, I wouldn't complain.


Well I might a little, but that's mainly just because I really want Varric for bi guy LI.

My gaydar gives me the feeling that Anders and Varric could swing both ways. Varric seems like a bit of the bearish type. Also I suspect a lot of the Varric fangirls would like that (nothing wrong with that of course) wich is also a strong economical incentive for BioWare to zevranise him.



As for the bi gals I'm still hoping for a female dwarf LI. Yeah I know... It doesn't seem likely at the moment.

He's an elf. Apparently that makes him feminine. Every mind the fact that most if not all male elves we met in Origins were masculine.

God, I absolutely hate this "noooooo he's too stereotypical" crap. First of all, nothing about any of the bisexual options have been "stereotypically gay."



Second of all, stereotypically gay people exist in the actual real world and deserve just as much representation in media as non-stereotypically gay people do. So, as long as the character is handled with respect and not written as a joke (which is a perfectly safe assumption, given who we're dealing with), what difference does it make?

Of course they do, that wasn't what I meant. Also, Bioware hasn't actually HAD a gay companion anyways.

For one,  none of us know what the stereotype is or isn't.  Fenris looks a certain way,  fine.
We don't know who he is yet.  So his personality isn't feminine or masculine...it's [undisclosed].  This constant "this and that" conversation is being played on repeat on all romance threads.  And I know it's driving the writers crazy.  

And even if there IS a stereotype being played to...who cares?  Stereotypes can be cruel and nasty,  but in some instances they can be comfortable and true.  They make it easier for outsiders to understand what they're representing...and that is a thing used often in -all forms of entertainment media.-   That being said...I still haven't seen any other gay/bisexual elf in anything popular other than Zevran.   If we even count Zevran,  we might as well be comparing Edward to Lestat (no implications about which is better);  these are the same species but entirely different characters.  And who is to say Fenris is bi...or even romanceable at that?

We know we like the writing in DA,  so let's just chill (unless we're basing it purely on looks and race, I guess).   It's like we're second guessing writers whose jobs some of us amateur writers would kill to have :/  They're the professionals...perhaps we ought to stop arguing the same four points and give it a chance on March 8th/11th.
