Ok this has gotten me a bit confused.. when in conversations with NPC's ive noticed your whole group is normally there.. but say for example the Coercion Talent, does it even work for the dialog if one of your team has coercion lvl4 say like alistair with high strength, or would it only try and take my coercion and cunning/Strength into account for the dialog options??
So what im trying to get at is do one persons talents spread to the whole team or is it all unique.. as i noticed only ones with poisons can create them but also no one else in the team can use them.
I understand that obviously some talents are individual like creation of items traps/potions etc but Coercion really bugs me as if it really only gives you benifits to the main char PC then you would have to try and make sure you have some points in cunning or strength for the intimidate etc option in convos, and not to mention you would have to waste talent points that could go on herbalism/poisons/tactics etc..

Only your character can take the Coercion skill and tests for it are always based on your STR or CUN but if your Coercion skill is high enough you can get away with lousy STR or CUN.
So long as a character has Poison Making I they can use any poison so only 1 party member needs to have higher Poison Making. Same for the other crafting skills - you only need 1 real expert in them.

Coercion is only for your PC. The only place in the game I can think of is the Halla quest in the Dalish camp where you have to figure out what's wrong with the Halla and you need the Survival skill and it doesn't seem to matter if someone else in your party has it- it depends on the PC.

You also need stealing to do some of the city quests... could skip them but they add exp/$ and plot items.

Only your Warden can have the coercion skill.
for every point of coercion, it is worth 25 points of strength and cunning when intimidating or persuading (I think)

Yes this does mean that if you dont have Trap-Making or Survival but your companions are masters of those skills you still cant use them in dialog choices.
Warden wise.....you only need combat training as a must have. All others are fluff. Coercion is not needed and if you play a high str or cun character you will pass those checks just fine. I think you need 60-70 Str/Cun to pass almost anything without Coercion. If your a Cun build Rogue or a pure Str build Warrior you will probably only ever need Rank 1 Coercion.
I always suggest getting Poison-Making to at least Rank 1, and have someone else craft the Rank 3 concentrated crow poison thats 15% chance on hit to stun for I think 7 seconds and +6 damage. Its too good. Also Trap-Making.....its incrediibly useful and powerful but its a all or nothing thing plus it requires most people to setup ambushes so is much better suited to a Rogue build.

Yep, just like in the KOTOR games where only your Jedi could get Force Persuasion.
If only my characters in this game were as sturdy as the ones in KOTOR. Somedays I think that Sten's armor is made of eggshells.
