As the title says, after I create and upload a character, when i close the Character Creator application, my desktop background is gone. All I have is a blank blue background. The desktop icons are are still there.
I can get the desktop background back by going to Display Properties and selecting another background, then selecting my original background and clicking Apply.

I've never really heard of that problem before.. What are your system specs? And what OS are you using?

Still got no idea.Maybe a problem when switching from 8bit/16bit screen resolution to 32bit. Or some malfunctioning real or virtual memory.

OK... I am not sure when it would switch from 8-bit/16-bit to 32-bit as I only use 32-bit, but...
As to the memory, I have not experienced any memory related errors.
It is strange that I never had this issue until I installed the Character Creator software, and that the Character Creator software is the only application that causes it. Personally, I believe it is a bug in the Character Creator software.
Hopefully Dragon Age will not cause any such problems when I receive it. But, if so, I will be back for more advice.
Thanks.

OK, new problem;
Windows 7 32-bit, same hardware as listed previously, Forceware 195.39 BETA.
When I go to create a character, the image of the character on the left side of screen is covered in 'shadows'.
The 'shadows' sort of 'flicker' , most of the time completely obscuring the image of the character, sometimes samll patches of the character briefly show.
After about five minutes of trying to see the character images, I get a BSOD, and the PC restarts.
Thanks again.
EDIT
Alright, I may have resolved this issue; I adjusted the Graphics Detail to "High", AA to 4X, and textures to "Medium" in 800x600 Windowed Mode and no crash so far.
Further testing is required.
