6 months seems to be consensus.

On the map, IIRC the entry on Vigil's keep says it's 2 and a half years after Awakening. Devs said 6 months.

One of the hints that the DLC was supposed to be an expansion that got scrapped.

I take it as about a year, maybe even a bit more. It makes more sense to me than six months as the epilogue to Origins says that if the female Cousland marries Alistair, there's a wedding and a tour of the country--and I'm pretty sure that the wedding was six months after the coronation.

I just started my first time through Awakening. Oghren mentions that he married Felsi and had a child (it may have been in the codex entry when I picked him up again). So, depending upon the gestational period of dwarves (which I don't know - nor do I really want to), anywhere from 6 months to a year. I'm leaning towards a year time frame along with Errant, as Oghren would have had to become miserable enough to travel up to the Keep after the birth of his child. Plus, the Orlesian Wardens would have had to reach the Keep, and establish a base of operations which appeared to have been fairly organized, so time would have been needed to accomplish that, also.

I vote for a year.

I'd say a year also, 6 months for the wedding and 6 months for traveling, but I wouldn't say it was any longer than that.

I'd forgotton about Felsi's baby. This actually makes me think it'a slightly over a year, as we have no reason to think that dwarves have a shorter gestation period and Oghren needs some time to become disenchanted with fatherhood. He probably didn't leave quite so immediately after the baby's birth.

Awakening taking place 6 months after Origins came from a Bioware dev in an interview.

David Gaider said there is a few months between the death of the archdemon and the coronation, too.

That makes absolutely no sense at all. It may have been what they said, but it has no internal logic. Either the six months are wrong or the epologue to Origins is wrong, and I prefer to go with the awesome game rather than promo for something entirely less awesome. And I find it impossible to believe that Oghren could have returned to Felsi, knocked her up, had the baby, and decided that it wasn't working out in six months, even if the gestation period is slightly shorter than that of humans.

Ok. Maybe he never said "six months"

Fernando Melo: Several months have passed since the end of
Origins, or more correctly, the end of the Blight, which is the game's
focus for Origins.

Some reason people said this must mean "six months". I don't remember why.

But still "several" means like 3, 4 or 5 months or so. And he even says it's only several months from the end of the Blight. You can't even say that's suppose to be several months after the Origins (or after the coronation), so then you can add months that's suppose the be between the end of the Blight and the coronation. That makes no sense with Felsi's baby.

It seems so me that either Awakening and it's details changed during development, leading to confusion, or he just misspoke, because several months simply isn't possible. Still, it doesn't really matter. If I can ignore the 'canon' that Alistair is 20 or 21 and Eamon is about 45, which I do freely, I can ignore this and make it something that seems more reasonable to me.

Wait, where is the canon that Alistair is 20 and Eamon is 45, and why is that a problem?
