It's not like it would make Soldier even more OP, Claymore + Revenant + Widow is not really better than GPS + Mattock + Viper anyway.

Yeah, that video is really cool. Too bad we can pick up only one weapon at DCS, I'd love to have all weapons available and just switch between missions.

Thanks. Yeah picking up all 3 special weapons would be really fun and it wouldnt break the balance of the game. That's where mods come in (to make the game more fun). Sometimes I add these weapons to adept as well. Awesome weaponry + awesome powers = epic win.

I don't think there is much hate for the Soldier class, there somehow is when it comes to biotics though. This thread was fine until someone started to bash Adepts for no reason at all (that's usually how it starts). Both classes are unique in their own way and both are powerful; Adepts do require more power management to be effective on Insanity, some like that some don't. But that's the good thing about ME2, there is plenty of choice between classes and difficulty levels and your video is great advertisement for the Soldier class - well done.

Absolutely great vid, that's how to play soldier aggressive, I've been saying this in so many threads I've lost count, but that's not to say that other classes don't do the same , I can't understand why every other class is say the one class is superior over another , it only depends on your play style and what you like that's why you have choice to choose a classes that suits you.
Don't say that one sucks because you have difficulty playing it or a certain power is terrible because of a long cool down , its what your comfortable with

Thank you. What's your soldier build btw?
Normally I'm a widow soldier, but for the purpose of the video, gave revenant, claymore and viper a try. They were fun too.
Powers i stick to heightened AR, Inferno ammo, lvl1 cryo, Heavy disruptor, Commando. I use deep stasis as bonus power for most part, but also choose barrier and warp ammo every now and then. Barrier is my second favourite way to reload cancel into sniping, first being AR of course.

It's not a question of soldier 'hate', its more that, for some reason, people get a little uppity when it's pointed out that the Soldier is a very straightforward class. I've never understood why people take that as a negative.
As for your video, that's some pretty cool stuff. I've recently re-modded my Adept to take a soldier payload I found in one of my old saves - Phalanx/Scimitar/Revenant/Viper. I have to admit, this is probably the most fun combo I've come across. Feels like I'm playing Half Life: Opposing Force 2185.

I agree. To be honest I've found the Claymore + Rev + Widow combo to be a little hit and miss, as different weapons work best with different AR evos.

Saw that you have the same loadout as my range Is good soldier swn32. It is an incredibly effective and fun play. But I also love my revenant gps mantis soldier who uses the gps to break sheilds the mantis to one shot mooks and the revenant for close quarters spray and pray. And I love my adapt with squad warp and ar training who almost always brings kasumi and moridin along who together can make pain in the butt missions like Grunt's recruitment on new game+ a cake walk. I just love this godforsaken game why have I devoted literally days of gameplay time to it? I don't know really but I'm glad there's somewhere to talk about this nerdy crap
Me 2 thought I was the only one , I played ME1 a whole lot but ME2 is so addicting, I've had other new games for months and have yet to finish them because I stop and play ME2 again , with making a new face , playing renegade , playing a new class or just playing again because of new DLC.
Can't wait for ME3 .

I'm almost at the Collector ship with my infiltrator now. Thought about it a lot. Going for the Widow. I mix sniping and CQC myself. So far the CQC has been going fine with an SMG. The sniping will be a lot smoother with the Widow though.

With that said, going to town in slow-mo at point blank range on 5 guys with the revenant at full-auto can be very satisfying.
