Kill Bill. Seriously, did anyone really like this movie? It was slow and slow on action.
Totally agree, i saw V1 and V2, and they are totally overrated for me, for me reservoir dogs is Tarantino's best work.

I personally thought they were great. The thing with Tarantino is he is usually dialogue heavy hence the reason you may have found it slow. I personally love his dialogue and didn't find it slow at all. Also the action wasn't slow either so I'm not to sure what you are talking about there.Capt. Obvious wrote...

Kill Bill Volume 2 however was a snoozefest.

And pretty much the vast majority of "remakes with a new age twist" Like the Remake of Jason, Sorry man but your wife can't act. If my mom sounded like that I'm sure I'ld grow up to be a heartless killer too. Same goes for most modern action/horro flicks. Someone gets shot and WEEEEE Buckets of BLOOD! I mean serriously no one bleeds like that, a tipped over Red cross truck full of blood packs would bleed less than that. And when is it that piles of gore=action/SCARY! I mean if I seen a bunch of dead body chunks or blood down the hall I'ld grab a gun, heck even a knife and be on guard. Its just those movies have no story far too often like the Death Race Remake it just sucked, I can't even stand the remade transformers. Every single time it seems a decepticon dies/ gets his rear bumber handed to him I mean Optimus just HOW did they run you off of your home world, were you fighting by queensbarries rules and when you got to Earth just went "Meh F-it" Honestly if I worked for the US goverment I would take Primes warning with a grain of salt.
Edit Also add in the new James Bonds films, I watched casino royale and Bond pretty much just played a game of cards with the Villian I was not pleased to say the least. All the rest have been just as bad, they picked a bad director and an even worse Bond. At LEAST find a guy who is English.

Changeling was an Oscar winning movie with Scarlett Johanson that everyone loved. After watching the film appealed to me really as a movie about sexist cops and Scarlett complaining in Los Angeles.
I think you're talking about Angelina Jolie...
Oops my bad.

On topic: Avatar for me. It didn't much appeal to me from the outset, but then everyone kept raving, raving, raving about it, I finally consented to being dragged to the theater to see it. What tripe. I have a really hard time sitting through any film when I can tell how it's going to end in the first 10 minutes. What fun is there then? Plus it's super heavy handed with its message (and I say this as someone who's involved in preservation and conservation efforts).
In the same vein, Shutter Island. I sat through the whole movie going, "That can't be the plot twist. They can't be so stupid for that to be the plot twist. They wouldn't do that to you. They couldn't...They did."
And to bring things to a trifecta, Superbad. Actually, all of Judd Apatow's movies now that I think about it. I don't think they're funny. Maybe it's the difference between boy-funny and girl-funny (a la How I Met Your Mother), but mostly they're just about a bunch of unlikeable people doing nonsensical things. I don't understand them, I don't know what makes the characters tick, and I don't really want to, either.

I've heard the same experience of Avatar so many times now. I think I'll make a point of not watching films that are directed by somebody who has a mouth like a cat's bum.highcastle wrote...

In fact, just go to Scotland and everyone there will tell you their ancestor is William Wallace. William Wallace must've nailed every single woman in Scotland at the time.
And yet I haven't meet a single Scottish person who claimed that, and i've meet alot of Scottsh people seeing as I went to Scotland a few times, and grew up with several Scottish people (with me being a military brat growing up and all.)

For what it's worth, I haven't heard any Scot making such a claim either. About half of my own ancestors are from Scotland, but as far as I know none of them have any connection whatsoever to this Wallace bloke. Or anyone else famous either, for that matter.Funkcase wrote...

Well, some of Cameron's older stuff is good. The Terminator for one. And I have a guilty pleasure soft spot for True Lies as well. But most of his recent stuff is just...meh. It's visually impressive, but all style and no substance.

The Terminator wasn't Cameron, Terminator 2 was, which was definitely fantastic. So was Aliens. The man knows how to film sequels, as both movies were better than their progenitors, in my opinion.
True Lies was meh. Titanic was boring as hell. Avatar was pure crap. It was really really good looking crap, but it was still crap. There was not a single original thing in it, storywise, characterwise, or any other wise (Unobtanium? Really?), and I despise movies that tell me what I should think and how horribly evil I am if I don't think it.

Add that movie to a list of popular movies I don't like, I didn't like Terminator 2 either though.
However, keep in mind that as a rule I hate almost all stories that involve time travel.

THIS.
I hate this movie. It was cliché, boring and not scary.
Fun fact: When me and a couple of friends went to see it, only one person in the audience was scared (she was one fo my friends). Everyone else were either laughing, sleeping or they simply left before the movie was over.
My friend even went as far to think that what she'd seen was actually real...
