Hi,

I've completed the final battle, come back to the lab to find okeer dead, and a message playing at his terminal.

I read that there should be a cut scene then I can get the grunt.

I've imported an ME1 character, installed the 5 DLC's that came as part of the game bundle.

I've restarted mission twice with different allies.

Help. I can't continue the game.

Did you click on the console? I'm sure theres a button you press on the vid screen that talks when you walk in the room that activates a short cutscene

The console has a brown square around it but the console never changes to blue (to allow activation)

okeer is laying directly in front of the terminal / console so can't get close to it.

Please post your specs as per this thread: http://social.biowar...6/index/4795299

While you're at it, please take the time to register the game on the forums (and get the little red 2 under your name) to let us know we are dealing with a legit copy and not a pirated version. This is not an accusation, pirated versions include hacked and modified files which can contain all sorts of malware, or just be corrupt and causing these issues.

Failing to interact with objects can be caused by low framerates. Maybe it's also a good idea to post a screenshot so we can see if Okeer is indeed to close to the console.

I have a similar problem although I got through the Okeer cut scene. I arrived back on the Normandy, had a cutscene with Miranda and Jacob but cannot leave the briefing room. The door block remains orange and the AI will not activate either. Any suggestions

Unfortunately neither of you have filled out any details that we need so no help can be given.

Other related / unrelated info.
-When starting warlord final batttle it won't let me into the room first time, door opens then slams shut before I can enter. If I open door again then battle begins.
-after battle complete map objective points back to lab.
-mission objectives still stays on fight jedore.
-while I can holster weapons, squad mates keep weapons drawn.
-and as discussed the terminal message is playing, I can see the terminal is something I should probably interact with but never changes to blue highlight. (also does not show above the game window as something of interest, the way new weapons or safes etc show up).

Hopefully this info is useful. I have no idea how to post a screen shot.

thanks

Many laptops do suffer from performence issues with games. You may have already mentioned but have you tried lowering resolution and graphics quality? Do you have fraps? if not i reccomend getting it then turn it on and play your game you will see a number display telling you how many frames per second you are getting. If it's a very low number then it can cause problems with interaction. If you want to check that out and tell us what fps reading you are getting it'll be interesting. I want to eliminate it being anything to do with low framerate before anything else.

Actually the other thing, once I am at this point and exit the game it doesn't exit cleanly.

game resolution down at 800x600 already as game was unplayable (demo) at the higher res.

I'll see if I can find fraps

There's your problem. Your laptop isn't handling the game well and 6fps is not playable at all. Anything below 20fps is bad and anything below 30fps will be messy anyways. You'll have to find another more powerful computer to play the game on.

Basically turned off all the quality options. resuming autosave didn't fix the issue.

FPS rate did climb by about 2. in the lab

There really is no fix in this case your laptop just doesn't have the hardware to handle the game.

Other missions have played fine.

thanks for your help anyway.

Are there any patches I haven't applied yet?

There's the 1.02 patch which is the latest one if you don't have that by all means get it and see what happens.

With a laptop it's hard to tell about minimum specs i compared your on board graphics specs  to the minimum specs on the back of the box which is the 6800 and it does meet the minimum however there are other factors like the processor on a laptop. It's not particularly powerful and laptop processors are always stripped down versions of their desktop big brothers so it might be what is causing the performence issues.

replaying mission with 1.02 did not fix issue either.

combination of reducing quality did resolve some other minor in game experiences.

Guess I can't play.

Might try a new character. see if its a problem with the import from ME1.

Yes, laptop graphics cards are, unfortunately, frequently not well named. Although they are often named after desktop cards, they are almost always much less powerful. While the 9500 GS might meet min specs (though I don't actually know if it does), that does not mean a laptop card being called the same name will.

I'm afraid a new character isn't going to do anything, particularly since you have confirmed that low framerates are indeed the source of the problem. All you can do is make sure resolution and detail settings are as low as they will go.

Another thing to consider is that laptop GPUs will often underclock (underpower) themselves if they get hot, to avoid reaching a damaging temperature. Makes sure your comp doesn't damage itself, but can also cause performance drops. If you think this might be happening, you could try making sure your laptop has good airflow - putting a fan on it or using one of those laptop cooling pads; even playing in a cold environment.

I've found a fix that works for me.

I've updated the video nvidia driver to the latest version (266.58) which also upgrades the physx software.

I've configured the new video driver to do all the graphics and not pick the best processor.

Thanks for your patience today. I've been able to exit the mission and game play even seems a bit more stable, frame rates still below 30 but hovers around 22.
