I own a Mac. I use Steam over any other distribution service. I want to play DA2 on my Mac, via Steam without having to boot Windows. In spite of the willingness of myself and others to purchase an already existant version of the game in this manner, it appears that the Mac version is not presently available for pre-order via Steam. Does anyone know why this is and/or if it will be fixed in the near future?

Please try to keep it civil. I just want a question answered and already understand full well that this may be yet another case of my personal preference for a minority platform kicking me in the teeth again.

Additionally, does anyone know how the support for the Mac version is being run this time around? If it gets delayed updates and faulty DLC support like Mac DA:O did, I'll just go ahead and pick up the PC version.

Da:o for Mac never made it to steam which surprised and disappointed me. There is no indication that da:2 will either. That said the disc will be dual "boot" meaning it will install on both windows and Mac. So if you want both versions it seems (so far) that you have to pick the disc. I would prefer steam or at least dual download. So I've been holding off pre-ordering waiting for clarification

Mac release has been confirmed from day one. In fact it will be on same DVD as pc version. So it's a big step forward
