I have a proof that it is not true.

1. The link is still working and the post was not removed.

2. This thread still exists after 10 hours.

3. Nobody is dumb enough to break a NDA when working on a highly anticipated project like this. Consequences are far bigger than getting kicked out of work. Biggest one is that nobody is dumb enough to hire an employee who have a history of breaking such agreements.

There is no way that Bioware would be that unoriginal or cliche.

1.  If they removed the link/post, it would confirm that it was true.  They would never do that.

2.  If they removed this thread, it would confirm that it was true.  They would never do that.

3.  Consider the fact that there are hundreds of people working on the ME3 team.  It would be very hard to track down the specific source of the leak.  The primary purpose of an NDA is to make sure no unfinished material is published by the media.  It's much easier to track the owner of a domain and contact them than finding out who's friend said something in a face to face conversation.  So while it is unlikely for someone to violate an NDA, it is not impossible to do so without getting caught, and it has happened before in the past.

Everybody has their own version of the same story...it's most likely a bad rumor.

Just like they never removed that post on twiter where EA employee said ME3 is going to be revealed on VGA. Information like that do get removed from the internet if possible.
Also, I find it apealing how people say "interesting" when looking at that "proof". You guys act like the troll (hoax poster) said something and suddenly a wiki entry apeared to back it up while it was the other way around - troll used an already existing minor information from the game and expanded it, not posting a link to it himself as he was sure that someone would swiftly back his trolling up with it. He's just a good troll. He avoided posting details so there would be less places anyone can prove him wrong. Again, good trolling.

There are those that would argue that BioWare is already unoriginal or cliche.

Anyone who has watched Babylon 5 might find Mass Effect to be unoriginal or cliche.

You might find that chart to be ridiculous and untrue, and someone else can find your statement to be just as ridiculous as untrue.  It's all relative.

If that mental retardation is true I'll laugh my ass off so hard at everyone who claims ME has a good story. Really. That's fail.

Thankfully chances are that's a bunch of bull.

whoever says, it is just assumption. if Bioware wouldn't say anything about ME 3 story, then all of rest gaming website whatever don't have single clue. they think they know something, huh? what a pathetic. only Bioware knows. so with all respect, please, gaming websites and people shut the hell up!

It's easy to come up with this theory if you payed attention to this billionaire Volus and those beings of light while checking out every planet in Mass effect.Problem is that it's a lazy and easy Deux ex machina plot point and it would backfire against Bioware. These machines of light might exist since there's hints of them existing, but Mass effect 3 is mostly about Shepard personal quest.

Logic dictate that Shepard will unite all the races to save earth and fight against the reapers (or fail trying).I also suspect a grey warden like scenario where he has to sacrifice himself (or not) to destroy the leader of the reapers.

Only click the link if you have played both Mass Effect 1 and 2 to completion.  There are minor, inconsequential spoilers, mostly related to ME1.

Anyway, I would normally not give a thread like this any thought, but for some reason I have a gut feeling this one is true.  What do you guys think?

Edit: An interesting find from another poster in this thread:

If a word of this turns out to be true, I'm snapping the disc in half. I'm sure it won't turn out to be THAT disappointing.

OK lets take it seriously for few seconds.

Why these Creators arent doing anything to stop Reapers? If they are that powerful they can stop them and not just wait until they became a real threat. It just doesnt makes sense.

oh wait...

And it sounds like something from another very popular series but I dont want to spoil for someone.

Babylon 5.

Actualy I was talking about game series

Can't believe nobody did it yet...

"Ah, yes, Creators. The immortal race of sentient light-beings allegedly being the only ones capable of destroying the Reapers. We have dismissed that claim."

Seems plausible. If true, it's best that Bioware do nothing until ME3 is released; as not to confirm any truth and bring about spoilers.

While I think this is BS this type of thing can happen. I remember back when that movie Cloverfield was coming out, the secrecy hype was ridiculous. All well executed viral marketing. In fact the marketing was better than the film. Anyway, there was this guy on the Rotten Tomatoes boards claiming he had seen a rough cut of the movie because his friend worked at the studio where the digital editing was taking place and took a burnt DVD home. This guy described the plot, the monster (even so far as posting his own crappy drawings of it), everything. Nobody believed him because, one, the plot fit in one sort of long paragraph. He also kept saying that there is no explanation for the monster which people wouldn't believe.

Movie comes out and he was dead on. The plot was so thin it could fit in a paragraph. He described it perfectly and had clearly seen the film beforehand. So, while I doubt this is real, it can happen.

Hey, well, these things do happen unfortunately in the Entertainment Industry....

But, keeping an open mind here - it could be true...it could not....

We'll just have to wait and see...........
