I claim that I'm the one and only Shepard!

....Is it true yet?

No?

Okay, I agree. Anyone can make false claims without proof.

Yeah? Where's your proof?

Some guy doesn't know the story of ME3. Because that is retarded.

Hilarious thought: the guy is right, and the devs are in this thread going "FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU-"

I doubt it. I hope that after having a great story in ME1 and ME2 and then having the last mission=WTFFFFFFFFFFF, I hope Bioware does not continue down the WTFFFFFFFFF path. I mean that story is the definition of cheesy + cliched.

For some reason, I think there may be some truth to the guy's proposition.  Reason I say that is because that thread would have been locked/destroyed almost immediately (most likely).  But seeing as 99% of people who read it disbelieve it anyway, why lock it out or make any kind of statement like "oh that's not true"?  That would only attract attention to it, and besides, just about nobody believes it anyway.

This thread also hasn't been replied to by someone like chris priestly, who seemingly generally comments on big-time speculation (i.e. that old topic of the ME3 teaser trailer pertaining to an earthborn background) by saying something similar to "don't believe everything you hear" or "interesting but not true".  This is kind of a wild card, but I guess it would make sense for something this sensitive to not even be commented on at all; the earthborn background thing, if true, while BW didn't necessarily want it exposed, didn't ruin anything story-wise for the game, while obviously this, if true, exposes everything.

These are all assumptions of course, but I believed the rumors from "sources" of the VGA reveal being ME3 true while most others disregarded it as false...

That's hall-of-mirrors logic. The same kind most conspiracy theories rely on for  credibility. Just keep on successively inverting the logic until you get the condition you want: if it's true then they would want to shut the thread down, but shutting the thread down would be a clue that it's legit, so they leave it open, but what if they assumed this to be the case so they may want to close it, etc. etc. etc.

No. I'll go ahead and rely on occam for this: the thread is still open because it's obviously pure fabrication, and basically beneath their notice.

Yeah I kind of went back and forth with myself there when I wrote that...  just disregard what I said and call it a day.

OK lets take it seriously for few seconds.

Why these Creators arent doing anything to stop Reapers? If they are that powerful they can stop them and not just wait until they became a real threat. It just doesnt makes sense.

oh wait...

And it sounds like something from another very popular series but I dont want to spoil for someone.

Babylon 5.

Actualy I was talking about game series

sounds like the xelnaga from the starcraft series

also on a side note if that was the story line it would be hilariousness in the bioware offices right now lol

Not quite really, because the xel'naga were a pretty big deal and was referenced quite a bit iirc in the storylines. These mysterious 'beings of light' was mentioned on one planet (that you can't interact with) pretty much in passing.

I suppose though; BioWare's done this sort of thing in the past though; wasn't Klendagon's great rift made 'important' in ME2 because so many people were curious about it in ME1?

Going OT on the things happens side, my mother used to work for a troubled girls school (aka you don't go here unless you can afford the substantial 4 figures per month tuition) and brought home one evening a copy of one of the LOTR movies with a Not For Public Viewing message on the film itself.

Could the post be right? Possibly but I sure as poo hope not.

the Xel'naga were a big deal and all but they seem kinda like douchebags for making what they did and unleashing it on the galaxy.

OMG U GUIZ!!!! TIS IS TOTALLY LEGIT LIEK SRSLY!!!!!!!!!!1

in all seriousness though, the name "Creators" is already what the Geth nicknamed the Quarians, so this is obviously complete bogus since BioWare wouldn't be so stupid as to ignore a major name discrepancy like that....

Actually the story doesn't seem that much BS as much as you guys claim. I mean really what kind of plot twist do you expect? It also provides a believable way of defeating the Reapers then the retarded rally the fleets option! But I suppose that is too much of  a Deus Ex Machinima! There's no pleasing you people, which is saying a lot since I'm usually pretty critical of things. I mean War of the Worlds one of the oldest Sci-Fi works involves the Deus Ex Machinima of bacteria killing off the invading aliens. I mean how convient is that? Yet never have I heard anyone say that was lame or poor storytelling. It is impossible today to create an entirely unique story these days anywho.

Anyways it seems a number of people have been leaving Bioware on the Mass Effect project. Which is rather worrisome in and of its self. Gives me a bad feeling if the game is going in that direction. I mean a few of the writers left or transferred to TOR, the lead composers went AWOL, is it really a stretch to think there may be a few others disgruntled as well?

Also with every game there's been a big focus on "The" descriptive beings. In ME1 "The Keepers" were essential to the whole plot. Heck the Reapers are called "The Reapers". Then in ME2 we had "The Collectors". There is going be another "The _" in ME3. I guessed something like that may be the case, and ME2 only further cements that notion.

You also have to remember that this may be a viral campaign. Companies purposely do this crap all the time to build hype/interest in the game. Revealing supposed "secrets" like this is a great way to do that. They already did something like this with the ME3 trailer. Then again this may just be a very good trolling effort.

Also as stated earlier in this thread there is some slight in-game evidence that this may be true in that there is some nod to the idea of these "Creators" with Klencory. The Reapers are most certainly "machine devils" so it's not a surprise that there'll be some angelic living beings that are against them. Also Sovereign seemed very touchy when talking about organics. He implies we are an "accident". Which could mean we just come to be from nothing, but more likely I suspect that we are created by something that the Reapers don't like. "The Sowers" or "The Planters" if you will. I've always strongly wondered about this. The story for the entire trilogy was written beforehand so this wouldn't really surprise me.

Another thing to bear in my is that Casey said we will indeed learn the secrets behind the Reapers. There needs to be something that explains their existence, and this certainly fits the bill. It also implies that there are probably more Reapers out there and that they will always be a threat. Which gives reason for the series to continue. If there is no big threat then Mass Effect is just mundane galaxy civilization.

So far the biggest reason to believe this is BS is because the thread hasn't been closed. Although if Bioware closed it then it would be obvious something was up. I'm sure they're content to let us debate this  ourselves since there isn't a credible source. No magazines or websites are going to make an article of this, so why should Bioware care what a few random people think or if they learn of some spoilers?

I found this page to be to much of a coincidence especially on the trivia part and what also surprised me is that the hanar refer to a race known as the enkindlers this is said to be the protheans but this could change in the story of mass effect 3. And lets not forget the 37 million years old derelict reaper that was distroyed by what seemed to be a very powerful weapon, who knows just putting some ideas out there.

If that's the case i trust bioware to end the trilogy with an outstanding storyline

overall the guy could be telling BSing or not...... only time will tell
