The existence of "good Reapers" coming in and saving the day would be a pretty crappy ending to the series. Where the hell would they have been the whole time for the past... uh... forever? I don't see this happening, and I really hope Bioware are more creative than this.

I found this page to be to much of a coincidence especially on the trivia part and what also surprised me is that the hanar refer to a race known as the enkindlers this is said to be the protheans but this could change in the story of mass effect 3. And lets not forget the 37 million years old derelict reaper that was distroyed by what seemed to be a very powerful weapon, who knows just putting some ideas out there.

If that's the case i trust bioware to end the trilogy with an outstanding storyline

overall the guy could be telling BSing or not...... only time will tell

protheanss are enkindlers

Ahh...... yes i said that.

did anyone elses bull**** detector go off when they read that?

Mine broke.

Mine exploded. Flames and bulls everywhere.

As to the inference, why would the Creators tell one eccentric volus?

Like i said its how the story is gonna be laid out that matters.

The Protheans found a way to block the reapers from continuing the cycle at least that's what they though. But they never found a way to destroying them perhaps that's a role for the 'Creators'.

The legitamacy of the Game FAQ's post is irrelevent. It can be argued over and over again. First of all, as someone has already stated, the ME3 team is rather large. It would be difficult to obtain evidence of any NDA violation due to the fact that we're dealing with the internet here. Even if they could track the supposed troll down (which, the last time I checked, only an email address is required to register on GameFAQ's.com, not you're entire personal history) he would probably deny knowing anyone working for Bioware.

Furthermore, it is hardly a release of information. It's common place for companies to realease (not saying they have) this kind of seemingly useless information. It's use would be in context and since we don't know the rest (or even the validity of the statement) we'll just have to wait for Bioware to release some useless information of their own.

As far as the whole 'creator' thing goes...

I doubt the volus has anything to do with it, but, as far as a 'twist' goes, having a creator race would be appropriate. Maybe not the Ultimate Creators that snapped their fingers and made the universe, but maybe those who created the reapers. Let's also keep in mind that the 'creators' don't have to be alive. Especially considering the word "crypt" used in the Klencory Codex Entry. I find it much more plausable that Shepard will have to find some sort of weapon granted by learning about this previously existing race.

I guess that's it...

i dunno how to feel about the whole "beings of light" thing

i mean Deus Ex Machina is fun and all... when you're not expecting it, it's cliche in big battle moments tho for me at least after LOTR Return of the King

You know what, forget about DEM problems and cliches; true or not, I actually like this scenario. :)

Aw, sonuvaB*TCH. S'cuse me a second while I pick pieces of my bull***t detector out of my leg, here... Damn thing exploded on me.

There we go.

Honestly, I can't see it. The entire focus of the first two games has been, basically, 'humanity has to cowboy up and do this on its own.' If they bring a race of super-saians at the last moment, there will be cries of 'foul!' from here to the edge of Andromeda.

Granted, I think we will get more info on the Reapers, and these 'beings of light' MIGHT come into play... But probably more as a "The reapers killed these things long long ago, just like they did their creators." rather than "Oh, hey, look, magical cavalry I just pulled out of my *ss."

OK lets take it seriously for few seconds.

Why these Creators arent doing anything to stop Reapers? If they are that powerful they can stop them and not just wait until they became a real threat. It just doesnt makes sense.

oh wait...

And it sounds like something from another very popular series but I dont want to spoil for someone.

Babylon 5.

That's a realistic and interesting theory no proof. "An species of creators that are the cause of all life the Council has dismissed this claim."

But still if you read the mass effect wiki klencory page these Beings of light are considered to be a factual part of the mass effect universe and not fiction we just don't know what their purpose will be and if this guys story is 100 percent accurate. I mean obviously the guys story bears a strange resemblance to the info provided on mass effect wikia.
