No respawn (ever; none of this 3 deaths and you're out - one death and you're out).  Possibly RP enforced.

Tried Alfa but got denied because my friend and I came across as griefers to the staff due to the questions we asked in their iirc.  We got this 'players work hard for their chars dont want to kill them plz' - a DM actually gave us that.... even though we never even got to play in their PW...

So hopefully there's some decent PWs for nwn1 that make use of permadeath.  If there are, please post.

I know Wake was one, and I played that, but it's gone now. :(

Single Player is probably more suited to you...

Do you have aspergers or something? Don't post in my thread unless it's related to helping me (the OP) find a server.

When I get home from work I will ask as we have some permadeath players on our PW who play a campign I think. I actually LOVE permadeath servers and wish we were.

Would you be intrested in playing in thier campign?

Also, I think there is a Dale server that is permadeath and though it has Dale in the name I am unsure which one it is.

We are soon to offer strict perma-death as an option, along with aging, both of which benefits the PC with better XP gain, while our semi-perma-death users are limited to a number of respawns based on their con (like in the original D&D) although they must keep the good favor of their god to do so. We've been busy building a very PnP style world (over 1200 areas and still growing), no lag, no crash, no jive. Be sure to run the tutorial area to see how features work here and hold your judgment on the work until you have seen the tutorial thru to the end, see how our scripts play well together.

I would be happy to give you a guided tour of the tutorial and even introduce you to our new Immersion Tools.

It was, you maybe do not know that you can play the single player (any even OC) via LAN with your friend, then you can force yourselves to keep the permadeath rule.

Higher Ground has a Hardcore mode that features permadeath, among other difficulty enhancements.

Hardcore characters constitute a smaller subset of our players, but there is nonetheless a tight-knit and dedicated group of people doing it.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.  And no, friend and I are just looking for a server - not campaign, though I have nothing against them.

I looked up your server's site ehye.  Do you have any ingame information to go with it?  Like the setting, classes, rules, etc.

So the people doing permadeath are in the same server as the people not doing it?

They can be (there is no restriction as to where players can play, apart from the rules regarding simultaneous area occupation), though in practice hardcore players tend to gravitate towards the Roleplay server, which has a few additional restrictions that most non-hardcore or non-roleplaying players might find annoying (shouts limited to the area you're in, party chat is disabled, all chat is disabled if dead).

Yes because, there is no PvP. This is action hack&slash server, thought it has a subserver where is RP required (there won't be a large RP community anyway).

The other server that we got 4 players from is also not active....while I wish we had a permadeath option there is no reason that you could not do it yourself playing on a server you find to your liking. I know when I first started way back when with CoA and FRC I would permadeath my PCs quite often if they were not raised by another player.

Maybe try the same thing? Either way I hope you find what your looking for and sorry i could not be of more help.

Yes, please see my project page for a PLAYER GUIDE pdf file you can download, more details on the web, wiki and forum (links to the former on the latter - general board).

But really, what are you looking for? Seems to me, that its not the possibility of your character be definitely dead, but the possibility to end the game of someone else. Thats called "PK" and I can understand a pretty well why those admins immediately banned you.

Otherwise you wouldn't need such specific settings which you probably never find and if you do, then you won't enjoy it too long.^_^

I think this rings of truth.

If you're looking for a place where you can permadeath a character, well, that's a choice you can make for yourself anywhere you go.  But you're specifically looking for PvP servers with permadeath, so...I'm not sure you're gonna find many NWN servers that functionally allow that kind of griefing.

I would not call it griefing IF other players also agree to it.  I agree though that it would raise alarms in my head as a PW Admin as well but further discussion to find out WHAT he meant would be better than assuming as we all know what they say about those who assume.

A grief player, or "griefer," is a player who devotes much of his time to making others’ lives miserable, in a large part deriving his enjoyment of the game from these activities while he does not profit from it in any way. Grief tactics are the mechanics a griefer will utilize to antagonize other players.
This should not be confused with standard conflict that might arise between two players.
