Hold on...
In proper english, it goes like this, in Wiki:
"A wizard may choose to specialize in a spell school,
gaining one additional prepared spell per spell level but losing the
ability to cast spells from the opposed spell school, even spells from scrolls. A wizard does not have to specialize, thus keeping access to all spells."
Remember, Wiki is your only reliable anytime NWN friend...
... as Hip is often way too busy chasing some poor desperate bees for honey in his most desolated mountains.
Hold a second while I'm googling him... Okay, there he is, busy at a bee:

And yes, I suppose you can learn from scroll, not that I have ever done it actually.
Just "read" the scroll, through its * special power / radial menu, by click/holding on it.

Specializing on the school is good only for wizards with low intelligence and the only one school that is acceptable to sacrify is enchantment, so if you really think you want to be specialist, then choose illusions. Some player using specializing as the way to shape the roleplaying of their character (like to play necromancer) but its benefits are so poor that its really only for suiciders

Hmmm, not sure I agree. In a high magic (which i define in this case as a world with true seeing on items and enemies with > +5 weapons), what use is divination? one extra spell per day at every level is the bonus for specialising, no? That's useful, no?

Again and again and again. That build is not a "specialist" wizard. Why should he be? Normally you can cast all spell school *unless* you specialize yourself which is not recommended. If your character is, then only two explanations comes here. Either you overlooked it, you didn't know what you were doing, or you have choosen some wizard's package that it by default specialized (I haven't yet checked if any of those packages really is).majnoon53 wrote...
I have downloaded this build and the wizard can cast in all schools, so there must be a way to do it
If you are new into NWN, do not specialize into any school until you get more informed about what you can gain and loose.
