Hi all.
I'm looking at whether deity choice can be restricted for certain classes. I know of the restriction columns in nwn_deities for cleric, druid, etc. I'm talking about if I wanted to restrict some other class so they can only pick certain deities.
I know I could do this with read me warnings and scripting a check at the beginning of the mod, but I'd rather be able to do this with character generation.

that depends on how in depth you want to go with a deity revamp. I can't seem to find any 2da where you can define class deities (as you said, hardcoded in nwn_deities).
The only thing I can suggest is that you make your class restricted to a certain alignment or alignment group and set the deities in question to the same group, and remove any deities from the alignment group you don't want your player to be able to choose, that's pretty much it for character creation that I can guess at.
So if you make the character class alignment ONLY neutral to good and evil, that restricts their deity choice to any you declare as 1 (or 2) for LN, TN, CN. Does that help?

Thanks for the reply. Restricting by alignment wouldn't work; too many crossovers. If I go with this idea, I'll just note it in the readme and put a check for it in the module's start area.

0100010 has a script driven enhanced levelup system, but it only works AFTER 1st level. ( you cannot access the GUI for a player prior to the character being created initially )
