All of the above are Reaper traps. You really think millions of years old super beings are just going to let something that could be a threat to them be left around? You found them by cursory glance in the universe, some few thousand years of space travel. Everything has been scanned by Reapers, only things left are harmless to them or dangerous to you. Just.. Submit and die already. There is no hope left.

I think this will play a big part in ME3 along with the whole dark energy issue. BW has put a lot of different easter eggs and vague explemations on a lot of planets. "Machines Devils" are obviouly the Reapers. The beings cannot be the Protheans because there were other races before them and this says that these specific aliens existed at the start or a very long time ago. They can be the counterpart of the Reapers (good) created to defend the galaxy against them. As for the vision given to Kumun Shol, it could have been the same as what happened to Shepard. Amother beacon or a similar device.

The main reason BW put so many homages and vague crap in a lot of planets' descriptions is because they had a LOT of planets needing codex entries. As for the vision "given" to Kumun Shol, it could have been drug induced or the result of an undiagnosed mental health condition. Just my own opinion, though; no need to go spreading it around.

Theres not really a lot you can do to a "being of light" of course there is not much they can do back either...

I hope they are not a good machine race or it's going to be like a bad episode of Transformers.

This seems to support that theory about 'Creators' and whatnot in that thread about "Someone who told someone about what happens in ME3".

Hmm....actually now that it has been mentioned I would be interested in seeing how they elaborate on these unexplained factoids.

Why would they even want to? They were irrelevant to begin with, so why would BW want to pour valuable dev resources into expounding further upon them?

Edit: and for that matter, why would WE want them to? I would much they werefocusing their attention and efforts on making ME3 good, not getting on the Way Back Machine to draw up a compendium that explains every little random homage and veiled joke entry in the ME1 codex.

Kelncory should absolutely play a role in ME3. Part of me fears that BioWare has forgotten about it, though.

Your fear; my hope. Let us hope both are granted. Seriously, what made you think they ever intended to remember it? Or any of the other homages and whatnot they used as filler in all those codex entries about irrelevant things/places? I seriously wish they had stuck with only making Codex entries for things that actually mattered. It would cut down on the number of fruitless theories that repeatedly pop up like Whack-a-moles. Oh, wait. Forums, check. Forgot where I was for a sec. Danged penguins....

Well, I always thought the Leviathan was one of the beings of light. Maybe their extinct and we just happen to find some special hidden place where they put their kill-Reapers gun schematics. Maybe there is one left alive hiding somewhere or in a coma or something and it helps the massive fleets you amass fight off the Reapers. Maybe it'll be a wild goose-chase that waists time and gets you (and the galaxy) killed for looking into it.

At the least, I think you should get to talk to that very rich Volus and have him dump his fortune into building a fleet of SR-2s or something like that.

Yeah, just give him some more of whichever illicit drug he was on when he had that last vision and he might fund anything. Of course, that could also be the drawback: he might fund anything. He would hear your plea for fleet funding, think it was an angelic vision, and decide that the angels were telling him to underwrite an expedition to find the geographical armpit of the galaxy, which coincidentally really is on Earth just west of the Hudson River from Manhattan.

Finally, someone else injecting some sense into this fiasco.

I really wish this Beings of Light crap would die and go away forever. Incorporating some metaphysical angelic beings into the plot to save the galaxy in the final chapter would be the worst possible way ME3 could end.

Although with Mac Walters at the helm, anything is possible.*

* that one's for you, didymos!

Hmm. Am I the only one who read "lost crypts of beings of light." and immediate thought of something? <-- Don't click if you want to avoid spoilers!

Lost Crypt. Being of Light.

Might Klencory be similar?

Remember Wrex's story of having been hired by Saren on a mission of taking out a big Volus freighter?

I sense a connection here to that crazy Volus billionaire.

That's the spirit! Defy your overlords! Take a stand against those diabolical, waddling little bastages!

@Phoenix: Pissed? Moi? Nahh, just lamenting the nature of the forums.

@Marshalleck: that would NOT be the worst possible ending. The worst would be if Shep woke up and the entirety of ME2 and ME3 had been a dream, and he was still buried in the wreckage of the Council chamber under pieces of Sovvie (or some such crapola). The "it was all a dream" ending is always the worst. But  this one is a close second, I think.

Yeah, and in a galaxy where you can *accidentaly* run into a dozen of the same people twice in entirely different set of places over short periods of time, those two Volus are bound to be the same person.

Well, given the fact that Legion is Wilson, I definitely don't see how a random off-screen Volus can be capable of not being some other random off-screen Volus! :?
