Does anyone remember the hype for that movie Cloverfield? They showed tons and tons of images of New York City being devastated by that monster. The movie itself was a bit disappointing for me, but I really loved how excited I was walking into that theater, and the excitement that lasted all the way until the credits rolled (That was it? ****...)
We all know now that in Mass Effect 3, the reapers devastate Earth. So, if any cinematic pre-release is going to hit home (literally), it should show convincing sequences of some of Earth's major cities getting leveled by Reapers. I'm not sure if I imagined this, but the amount of hype from Britain and those other UK countries across the pond really rocketed after the first ME3 video was released.
Imagine how you'd feel if, as an American, you see the Golden Gate bridge crushed by a Reaper as it vaporizes San Francisco? The Statue of Liberty is gone, but what about the pyramids crumbling to dust while a Reaper blasts itself a landing zone? The Empire State building? The Forbidden Palace?
The Eiffel Tower seems to be targetted a lot...
Omg. DISNEYLAND. I know they would never allow that "intellectual property" to be shown in such a way, but I would get such a rush from watching a Reaper destroy the Epcot sphere. Damn.
Something for video animators to mull over

I don't know what this toppic is about... about failed hype, London or "how would you feel if your city was in the trailer"? Help me out, I'm lost - what is there to mull over for the animators?

A video to create a few months down the line when the Mass Effect 3 pre-release marketing begins in full.

Just thinking about the reapers targeting Disneyland makes me laugh. Ooh, my imagination.
I feel evil.
I feel evil.
