Can someone help make this easy for me? I have no idea where to begin, honestly. I would be happy if I could just get some additem mod to work.

I'm no sure if I can help but I can point you in the right direction.

Here is a good place to start...

MOAZIPIN is the application I use to install mods. It works very well. And do a search of Jhime's posts. He is The Man for installing mods.

I got 99% of the mods I use from here...
http://www.dragonagenexus.com

Be sure to read very carefully the install instructions that come with each mod and only install those that have a proven track record. I let others who are far more tech savvy make the mistakes.

Here are some instructions for installing mods. This article was written for Windows users but most of it applies to Mac OS X as well but you have to be able to weed out the info that really doesn't apply.

You will spend several hours learning how to install mods successfully but it is well worth it!!

How do you actually use Modazipin? I have the program but when I open it, it just sits there and I can't get it to open any files or anything.

Does it open any window? If not, delete ~/Library/Preferences/org.morth.per.modazipin.plist and open it again. If still not could you open your system log (/Applications/Utilities/Console.app) and send me any lines that mentions Modazipin?

The program itself opens, and then it shows me the official content that came with the deluxe edition. From there, though I don't know what to do.

Just checking: Cryo, in order to open Modazipin, did you double-click on the .dazip you want to install? If not, start there and see what happens.

As far as the error log goes, I'm not Jhime, but the JPEG screenshots generated by DA:O (Modazipin uses them for the background) all have these "extraneous bytes", so every program opening then (like Gimp, in my case) displays this message.

Okay so I bought Dragon Age Origins for mac yesterday. I am used to playing games like this (Fallout, Oblivion, KOTOR) on a PC but my PC broke so I am forced to play on a mac. Anyways, I am familiar with modding these types of games but I cant figure out how to mod on a mac..

My question is this: Is modding Dragon Age possible on a mac like it is on a PC?

I have spent hours trying to figure this out and I am getting no where. So I wanted to know if any other mac users are able to mod on their macs. Thanks!

Um, did you read through this thread?

Or do you mean creating your own mods? That's not possible on the Mac side, since the Toolset hasn't been ported.
