But to the whole point of this thread: Does it matter? Not really.

http://www.scientifi...asexual-lizards Here's a real world analogy for the Asari and how they reproduce. As far as I can tell Interspecies reproduction would work one of two ways with Asari.

1.Linking Nervous Systems randomises the chromosome pairs the Asari uses to reproduce, and which is already present in her body.

2.They take DNA from their partner and use it to randomise the chromosome pairs or generate new pairings thus strengthening their genetic diversity.

Personally I think it's 2,since DNA is obtainable from a myriad of sources, even saliva,so they could then breed with anyone. Also the Ardat-Yakshi is a genetic disorder present only in Pureblood pairings so again the Asari cultural edict of interspecies pairing would make sense.By mating with non-Asari they broaden their genetic database and equip the species to better survive.

Why would it matter?  :police:

Why do people think that because that orifice is designed for exit, it cannot be used for sexual pleasure? Last time I checked, Humans use certain holes that aren't exactly designed for penetration, and while not applicable to everyone, often the recipient does get pleasure from the experience, while sometimes they do not enjoy it.

I would see this as very similar.

This isn't meant as a comeback or anything, but I do find pleasure in cleaning out my ears with a Q-tip (also known as a cotton swab).

What if it was someone else sticking a strange looking appendage of theirs in your ear?

Well I'm a guy and I'm not a homosexual, so that doesn't really apply to me.

It is quite simple, really. The mate's nerve ending scall up the asari's nerve endings using microscopic radio sets and use them to send their entire genetic code, which the mate's nerves just happen to have memorized.

That's what I'm saying. I think that the whole asari design and stuff is basically part of the "sex sells" marketing strategy. Some may not like it, sure, but there's not a lot to do about it because it is successful.

I cannot disagree, but still it is true to an extent.  No need to feel insulted by what someone else says if you yourself do not feel it is true.  In other words, it won't bother an individual who knows for his/herself that the words issued are untrue.  The sticks and stones quote is old, but it holds very fundamentally sound Psychological truths.

On a personal level, I agree with the sticks and stones perspective. People can sling all the words they want at me. It's their effort they're wasting, after all.

But saying it shouldn't bother you is not the same as saying people should be allowed free reign to be as obnoxious as they like. Otherwise, in a perverse way you're implying that verbal abuse is only wrong when it's based on an element of truth, which I don't think is what you're going for.

So if someone starts slinging baseless insults and their 'victim' retaliates on principle, I'm not going to blame them either.

actually, even slinging such "insults" wouldn't matter for only an ensure person would be offended by it.  same principle applies

If Asari don't have human-like birth canals, I'd just take the other hole.

More cushion for the pushin anyhow.

Wow... just wow!

Anywho...

I'm almost certain asari have birth canals.  They are definitely classified as females in the Mass Effect universe.  However, their sexuality will most likely be debated to infinity.  Translation: They are fan service.

Like many has said, that would make no sense that the asari birth canal would not be pleasuring to man. Otherwise you would see much less human male loving being with asari. And the asari biology do not respond to the pure logic of science. Remember it is science fiction and there is little chance that we will find sexy aliens in real life. we must not forgot that asaris are there for fanservice (escpeacially for young male).

After pondering it with a few of my friends, I've come to the conclusion that there's no logical reason for asari to be equipped for penetrative sex. Granted, many will say that there's no logical reason for the asari to be, period, and they wouldn't be totally wrong; personally, I believe they were artificially engineered by someone. However, even with that, considering that their reproductive processes are mostly mental and they bred with each other for thousands of years, they have absolutely no need to be receptive to penises.

Thus, I contend that the asari birth canal, though located in a similar spot to the human one, is not a pleasure zone or adapted for penetration. It's possibly comparable to the human cervix, a valve meant to enable passage only one way; even if it wasn't actually painful for anything to enter it, it'd likely be odd and uncomfortable.

And so I pose this question to Maleshep/Liara fans: if this was true and you couldn't engage in penetration (keeping in mind that there are several other ways to engage in physical pleasure as seen with Femshep), would you stay with her or would you move on to a human (or quarian) LI?

Omg why would you ponder such a thi.... Its xil, its ****ing xil.
