I'm almost completely sure that this has been brought up before, as the more I think about it, the more it makes sense.


When you land on Illium in ME2, you run into Shiala (green asari you saved from the Thorian on Ferros), who talks about
working at the Ferros colony now. She then makes a romantic stab at you (depending
on whether you're in a relationship with a squaddie already or not, I believe),
then leaves. MY guess is that somewhere in ME3's campaign, we'll be
heading back to Ferros to head off a Reaper attack. In doing so, we'll
pick up Shiala along the way.

EDIT: Oh, the blissful ignorance of paragonity. She can be killed... :C

She can be killed, and non-imported Shepards from ME2 don't have her iirc.

I think there are too many variables for her to be made a squadmate, im not sure if she is even alive in the ps3 version.

Developers could spend resources on animations, writing and voice acting to reward people who are a fraction of their customer base, but I'm ten years past believing that.

Sadly I doubt it. As others have already pointed out, she can be killed and is not in the default game save. She is an optional character that survives depending on how you play. Will Shiala make ME3 as part of a sub plot/cameo, maybe, but as a squad member? No.

You guys do relies you could have all of the me2 squaddies killed yet I doubt they will get rid of garrus and tali etc just cause they could be killed. From the looks of it the funky green asari is very popular

I am interested to see how bioware handle this, I hope Tali and Garrus fans dont get shafted the way the VS fans did in 2.

You do of course realise that PS3 owners don't have access to ME1 and as such she does not apear in the PS3 version of ME2 at all. Because of that I would say that Bioware conciders her to be a relatively minor character in the overall ME Universe, her chances of being a squad mate in ME3 are slim to none.

Squadmate? No. Possible Love Interest. Maybe. She does hint at an attraction to Shepard in ME2....

Don't care of PS3 owners... We will not destroy the entire Mass Effect universe because this version of the game. I'd like to see Shiala as a Squadmate too.

I really LOVED the character of Shiala and I really bemoaned her loss in the PS3 version of ME2. I have both versions and liked them both but it sucked Shiala wasn't there. I can hope but I won't hold my breath. At most, a possible love interest for 360/PC owners.

So what if she can be killed?  Anders can be killed, but he's a squadmate in DA2.
