Don't care of PS3 owners... We will not destroy the entire Mass Effect universe because this version of the game. I'd like to see Shiala as a Squadmate too.

It's okay, Haristo. PS3 owners don't care about you.

Anyways, it is a shame that they didn't include more choices in the Mass Effect: Genesis interactive comic. I would've liked to have one of my Sheps inherit Captain Kirk's legacy of romancing green women.

I would love her to be that, but I still hope not...

She is one of the characters that aren't even present in the ps3 version, her and the other asari scientist from the first game at the krogan cloning facility and also the fan from the first game isn't in the ps3 version either.

I blame Microsoft for that.

I think she's an awesome character but I don't see it happening. Hopefully we'll run into her again in ME3... unless you executed her like a douche.

I had no choice. Seriously. Like, I was given literally no choice about what to do w/ her. Damn.

I want Shiala as a squaddy.

I'm hoping for a squadmate system in ME3 where if you kept certain characters alive (Shiala, Wrex) then you could recruit them, whereas if they are dead, you can recruit a new character instead. Maybe if you kept them alive you could even have a choice whether to recruit Wrex or the new krogan squaddy, and Shiala or the new asari squaddy. This would allow for many ME2 squadmates to return as squadmates regardless of the fact that they can die.

I hope we see some sort of system like this, even though I base this prediction on absolutely nothing. :)

I like Shiala. But I think her story-arc is now over. We may get an email or something but little more then that.

How about this:

If you let her live in ME1 and help her get a cure in ME2 she becomes a squaddie.
Same goes for Conrad Verner by the way. \\o/

Seriously though, I wonder what comes out of saving those two.

I'm pretty sure she'll at least make an in-game appearance if she's alive. Bioware made a "favorite recurring character" thread a while back and Shiala was the second most requested character, behind admiral Hackett.

I was seriously bummed that Shiala wasn't a squadmate in ME2. She was by far the most attractive asari in all of ME1 (the runner up was the asari Council member), she was purple and not that pansy light blue of both Liara and Samara, had those badass turian facial markings and she was a commando with powerful biotics, so you know she would've kicked butt in combat.

I'd have taken her over Samara without a second thought, but instead BioWare turned her green again and relegated her to a minor 2-minute side mission.

She may indeed come back - she's the only one who has ever overcome "indoctrination" because of the Thorian. This could pose an interesting plot point. And she has shown interest in you... but I agree with most I doubt she'll become a full time squad mate.

Whats your beef with light blue asari?

I sincerely doubt Shiala would ever be squadmate. My money is on Aria as the token Asari squadmate in ME3, unlike Shiala no matter what you do she doesn't die.

I also put money on Gavorn being a Garrus replacement.

Purple is my favorite color. And I kinda look at purple-skinned asari as being like the tanned beach babes of the asari world whereas light blue skin is like having pale, pasty skin by comparison.

Plus, purple-skinned asari are rare and there's never been one in Shepard's party.

@LordPennlocke: Nope, perfectly serious. She's boring. I don't care if she's hot or a super-biotic--her character's flat as hell. She's a plot device.

Understandable, but she was flat in ME1 only insofar as she had virtually no development. What little we saw of her was intriguing enough, however, and ME2 could've easily added to her character development and thus made her not "flat as hell". Instead, they relegated her to an even more "flat" role and didn't exapand on her character one bit.

Liara would've been a pretty flat character too if they never did anything with her after Therum.

She can be killed, and non-imported Shepards from ME2 don't have her iirc.

So what if she can be killed?  Anders can be killed, but he's a squadmate in DA2.

This...

This again. THough I think she probably won't have squad status.
