As much as I like Shiala, i doubt she'll be a squaddie. Maybe for some Feros mission or something.

Unfortunately, I will admit. I'd like to see her get a bigger role... but i doubt it's going to happen.

I can see her being shown fighting in a cutscene or something, but as a full squadmember i doubt it will happen

Bioware stated that the game will have a lot of temporary squadmates like Wilson and Liara in ME3, so why not?

^ Exactly. I see no reason she couldn't be at least a temporary squadmate. So she can die, and..? So can every single ME companion save for Liara. Really sucks for PS3 users though.

While she didn't show upon Illium in the PS3 version, I don't think that it was ever specifically stated that Shepard killed her.

What would be the point in wasting resources that could be used on more important characters, and cutting out a piece of content that huge for PS3 users?

At the very best a full blown make out would be cool.

This can also be applied to Parisini.

Same with the Rachni Queen. I find that unbelievably unfair that an entire race of allies is denied to PS3 users and default ME2 Sheps simply because your default is a robot that had its dial stuck on "bottom right" for the entirety of the first game...

However, this tidbit from the recently-released May version of Game Informer magazine may give renewed hope for PS3 players and those that didn't bother playing the first game through:

The game will by default feature a "previously on Mass Effect" comic to make decisions with if starting from scratch.

So, have faith PS3 gamers! Bioware has not overlooked your plight! :D

Be awesome to have her on the squad.

Asari Commando who has faced indoctrination, eaten by the Thorian, betrayed by the man who nearly brought down the entire galaxy...

Sounds like a pretty awesome squaddie to me.

Besides, this whole temporary squad mate thing..I really like...

I usually only run with a couple of different squaddies anyway, having a misison where you have one or two set in the team makes sense imo. I don't see why they can't have Shiala as an active squaddie for a particular mission where her experiences are beneficial...same as Kal'Reegar, Gianni Parasinni etc.

Bring it I say. Besides, if you've gone through Me1 and ME2 without romance...well.. SCHWING!

THere might be something wrong with me, but I found Shiala pretty hot on Feros when she was purple, and wearing that outfit. Once she was green she was less beautiful, and the costume she was wearing didn't help her in any way.

God, I hope she's on your squad in ME3. There's enormous fertile ground there for the writers to work with. She may, in fact, hold the key to breaking reaper indoctrination entirely, which would deprive the Reapers of one of their most potent weapons: indoctrinated agents.

If you killed her or play on PS3, there are three possibilities.

1) Things are going to be unpleasant for you in ME3.
2) You might run into one of her clones that survived Feros.
3) The comic that will come with ME3 might let you choose to not kill her.

I hope so.

ME1 Shiala is the most beautiful female in ME, IMO. She was absolutely stunning.

I like her personality, too. She is earnest and loyal. The way she is speaks is also kinda of amusing. She is like hanar; always with the excessively correct and polite speech.

It'd be cool if she were made a LI as well.

I don't think it's going to happen. BioWare would have to screw over all of the PS3 players, because she's not even in it, and they would also have to screw over the Renegade players...

They kinda deserve it for being d***s and shooting her for a dumb reason.

Renegade Shep kills people. One should not be punished for playing the game the way BioWare intended.

Actions have consequences.  Some of those consequences are bad.  Choose wisely.

And whos fault is that?

ME1 Players shouldn't be limited by people who just recently discovered Mass Effect.

Amen.

PC and 360 players should not be given a dumbed down game to appease PS3 players.

What punishment, man? You choose the option to kill her. Shepard killed her. She died.

You got what you wanted, so how were you punished?

I don't get the people who say that they don't understand why people like her.

She has established personality.  She's compassionate yet hard as nails in battle.  Reminds me a lot of the stereotypical career warrior who reads a lot of Rudyard Kipling.  Her voice acting is good; the manner in which she carries herself and speaks reinforces her personality.

Of course, we know she's one of only two people alive with the Cipher.  That's not the important part though.

The important part is that she's the ONLY person to ever break reaper indoctrination and live to tell about it.  The Thorian likely had something to do with that.  If the method by which this was done can be copied, this neutralizes one of the reapers' most potent weapons: indoctrination.

There's a lot to go from here.  And yes, her biotics might be unstable, but she's an Asari commando, meaning she's also good with firearms.  I want her on my squad.

If as some has suggested that part of the time spent in Mass Effect 3 will be searching for a weakness to the Reapers. Therefore, I think we can expect a visit to Feros a planet extensively covered by Prothean ruins that still may be able to provide some relevant technology.

Shepard has a big impact on the fate of Zhu’s Hope and may be relevant to the success of any subsequent mission that may result from Sheapard’s arrival. It will be interesting to see how Zhu’s Hope has changed since our first encounter during the original Mass Effect.

I suspect that the player maybe even able to acquire Shiala (at least temporarily) during the Feros mission.

You do of course realise that PS3 owners don't have access to ME1 and as such she does not apear in the PS3 version of ME2 at all. Because of that I would say that Bioware conciders her to be a relatively minor character in the overall ME Universe, her chances of being a squad mate in ME3 are slim to none.

Don't care of PS3 owners... We will not destroy the entire Mass Effect universe because this version of the game. I'd like to see Shiala as a Squadmate too.

I want her purple hue back Shep even messed that up by saying she was blue before no shep she was purple. But skin color aside I don't want her as a squadmate sense she's as unstable as jack. If she becomes stable and purple for ME3 then fine she can be a candidate but if I decide no to her I would like to be able to substitute her for someone more qualified.

You know that in Mass Effect Genesis it does in fact cover the Rachni Queen part and you do run into a certain Asari on Illium if you let her survive mentioning the Rachni Queen's thanks for not killing her. Sounds to me that you were either asleep or didn't even bother downloading the comic because it is a major descision that Bioware as already clearly stated several times that will play a role in ME3. Either that or you are just assuming since you don't have a PS3.

Shiala isn't important enough or knows Shepard enough or has a big influence or... heck Shiala just doesn't have what it takes to be a squad member.

I just heard a bursting bubble :)

That's also true for everyone except Liara.  That mean no one is going to be a squad memeber?
