I hope so Maybe with a Lay on Hands ability? Seriously though. The guy glows in the dark, and has lyrium in his blood. I am sure that can`t be healthy, if it somehow transfers to his partner. I guess dwarves would be ok though, they are immune

So far I can't say I'm enthusiastic about Isabella or Merrill. I was hoping Aveline would be a romance option, too bad that's not on the cards. This just might be my first BW game without romance.. but who knows? Maybe I'll be more keen once I learn more about them in game.

Granted we don't know much about their personalities, but the companion who really clicked for me in terms of being an LI was Aveline. I know a lot of people don't want to see another Jaheira or Carth, but I would have liked to romance the strong female warrior. You don't often get an option like that and Aveline seems to be the companion who is most similar to me. Granted, we will probably get a great storyline with Aveline without romancing her, but I would have liked to romance a human woman who is more of the knight or military type like Aveline.

I mean no disrespect by saying this but if you're going to be picky then you shouldn't complain about lack of choice. Bioware has given you two options and you've chosen to immediately discount one based on their race. Why should Bioware cater to people like that?

Hey, romances are TOTALLY optional, don't like them? don't do them! They are supposed to be hooks to the story and all. Not the main thing about DA2. You'll have to settle for what you have, for once. All whinny about how bioware "not feed me fetish, me no like elves!"

Its all about options in roleplaying, really. The story spans over ten year, and my character only has the chance to romance 3 characters during that time (3 that we know so far). This being a 12 year old looking elf chic, a pirate lady, and a lyrium infused elf (wich no doubt will give you some lyrium infused sexual disease afterwards). Now lets say Hawke just doesn`t like elves, or doesn`t enjoy the thought of having sex with another race, for whatever reason... This means he or she is stuck with a pirate chic. Nothing whiny about it. It just removes alot of options, thats all.

12 year old elf chick? Should I laugh at the whole post or only where you described the characters? Oh wait, if your Hawke doesn't like other races, and pirates... Then you can totally skip the romances in the game.
Though I understand that you want more choices. In that case, Bioware needs more money.

Never said I didn`t like pirates. What i meant though; was that not everyone likes elves (at all), and two out of 3 romances (confirmed so far) are elves. It limits things, thats all. I am sure the Isabela romance is cool though, so this bit isn`t putting me off the game in a big way.

I just wanted to add my two cents about the whole M!Hawke not having chest hair thing. I personally find chest hair gross so I am happy that M!Hawke has less or none of it. I like my men nice and smooth

The problem is that if Bioware will choose 4 human LI, people will get upset like now people are upset for the fact that 2 LI are elves (or dwarves). Maybe even if Bioware make all companions except siblings LI someone will get upset.
Probably I'm lucky, I like all the tre female companions, so whatever decision Bioware could have taken, I have probably been fine

That aside if the picture of Fenris and FemHawke is what it seems then woohoo and isn't Merill as cute a button! A button!
