I dont think it is depression. According to Dragon Age 2 Wiki Fenris doesn't really feel pain when they are touched it is more of an aversion to them being touched. In other words he is maybe a bit embarrassed. It must be a feat for him to allow someone to be that intimate with him. Also, for Merrill it shows in the Dev Video "The Making of Dragon Age 2" Part 2 when one of the devs is talking about romances she talks about different personalities towards sex it show a clip of Isabella litterally throwing herself at male Hawke and the Dev describes it as the "I want you right now" type and then it flahes to Merrill when mentioning the "Virginal girl next door" type. So I conclude that in the picture Merrill looks self-consicous and a little nervous for her "first time" not depressed. Anyway, I could be worng but that is my opinion.

Incidently, for those harping on merill because previous shots of her made her look like she's 12.... well, can't say that any more after seeing this latest one, can you. She looks closer to 25ish, doesn't she.

I could be wrong and, if so, I apologize, but I don't believe they are painful to touch. They were painful to, um, ink/create and he does not like to be touched, but that doesn't mean it is painful for him to be touched.

Wholeheartedly agree. It's not like I "need" nudity to enjoy the game or the romance, but it's an M-rated game with more blood than Raven's Soldier of Fortune (if not necessarily the dismemberment). Some tasteful side-boobage and "ass-age" seems entirely appropriate to me. But, hey... I guess they didn't have condoms back then, so maybe this is what passed for "safe sex"?

I'm not asking for full on nudity or graphic sex, but purchasing an 18 cert game with disembowlment and decapitation, I don't really feel I need my fragile mind being shielded from the human/elf form....

Glad to know we got three of four LIs confirmed (and that Fenris is one of them). Also happy to have Merrill on the LI train too. : )

I don't mind the DA "underwear" scenes. They are at least miles better than the Mass Effect 2 romance scenes (those were awful).

Screw Fox News!  Bioware can just point to the rating on the case/box if they try to make a big stink about it again and blame the parents or the store if any under age gamers getting access to the game.
