What are you talking about? What does Final Fantasy have to do with Fenris?Maelora wrote...
Gods, I hate Fenris. What a walking cliche. This isn't Final F****** Fantasy. Hope there's an opportunity to kill him the moment you meet him.

Merrill is really cute, as in "hey that teenage girl is adorable", not as in "I would like to sleep with that person".
I disagree... I think her face is very mature. Sure, her body is small and lithe, but she still looks very... not-too-young-to-make-sex.

I agree, and I do look forward to seeing how they'll deliver on this. She's been set to become a Keeper after all, not "just" a proud dalish but a leader of their people and clan. A guardian of their culture, to then fall for a human... that's rather close to a complete 180.TheHawkeWhoFlies wrote...
Not unexpected, but it's cool to have confirmation. I just hope the writers haven't overlooked the cultural barriers between Hawke and Fenris/Merrill - that is, it shouldn't be too easy to bed them. Think about it; Fenris' been enslaved to a human for quite some time (one would assume), and Merrill's dalish. All in all, I just hope this is recognized, and that they end up being the hardest to romance.
Still, I have no doubt the writers won't disappoint in this regard, so I voiced doubts I don't really have :3
And then there's Fenris, I'd imagine he has little love for humans, not to mention mages, in general. Lot's of room for interesting conflicts.
Exactly. You worded it a lot better than I
Also, thanks for pointing out the mage thing; I sure hope it'll have some extra impact while interacting with Fenris if you're also a mage (whether romancing or befriending).

I just want some better ass shots in DA2. We know these chicks all have big boobs. Lets shift the focus a little bit. Oh, and also, Merrils ear looks kinda like a vag. Thats not doing it for me. At least not on the side of her head.
i dont see it... either you're really desperate and/or perverted, or im not desperate/perverted enough... and i'll admit i can be the biggest perv on the planet:whistle:
Obviously I was joking. Except about the ear. I really can see it. Its creepy.
my entire post was talking about the ear... sorry for the confusion

I think she's gorgeous!!! In a very different way than, say, Bethany (whom I have a huge crush on, not gonna lie... she reminds me of Lexie Grey)... it's exotic and refreshing. I don't remember who made the Na'vi reference, but I'm not seeing that... just, a little alien, like elves should be.
Tolkien's elves were a metaphor for the ultimate perfection of men, but this gets away from that... rather than supermen, they're, like... othermen. Similar enough that we can identify with them a little bit, but then different in such a way as to make us a little uncomfortable by that.
Of course, I'm not uncomfortable, because I'm hip and modern, but OMIGOSH, Merrill is just lovely!

And what exactly makes him seem JRPGish? When I compare him to characters like Cloud and Tidus (or heck any other character from a JRPG) it just doesn't fit he looks like a bioware character. So please if there is a characteristic that is JRPGish please point it out. The only thing I see unsual about him is his white hair which can be contributed to trauma from having Lyrium burned into his flesh and being hunted like an animal.kylecouch wrote...

I for one, am very impressed with FemHawke's genetics.

Maybe it´s the aftermath and she´s regretting sleeping with a human. Considering elf recessive genetics and in this world and Dalish culture I hope that theme is adressed.

I'm wanting to meet Merrill in game to find out more about her. I'm still unsure about what her character is gonna be like.
EDIT: As I said in an earlier thread, Fenris looks almost identical to a necromancer in Guild Wars to me.

Honestly, I'd prefer no scene over the ridiculous underwear humpage. It's just bad.sonsonthebia07 wrote...
Would anyone prefer like an all-dark scene where you just saw the silhouettes of the two rather than an underwear scene? It wouldn't be too much different than ME1, would it? And it wouldn't be as ridiculous.
