What hardcore achievement in ME2? I see complete it on insanity without changing the difficulty setting, complete it twice or once with an import, and complete shadowbroker content with it on hardcore or insanity. On this hard drive I've only done insanity, and I have all the achievements. Oddly though the make it level 30 while completed does not have a progress bar filled in.

Wow, how sad, I confused it with ME1, I wish the first guy just told me that. My mistake. There is no hardcore achievement for ME2.. Thanks.

You need to change the difficulty to hardcore or insanity before doing Tali's recruitment. That gets you the geth rifle. There is an achievement for playing finishing the game on insanity without changing, but it's a single achievement and doesn't really do anything.

One other thing; the LotSB achievement for beating it on Hardcore or Insanity. However, there are no bonuses/achievements that are exclusive to Hardcore. They can all be achieved at Insanity difficulty as well.

Some of the achievemnts had an effect on your starting game in ME2, resouces, level etc.  It is possible the same will be true in ME3, heck maybe achievements from both games will matter in ME3.  I'd dig it if there were minor benefits for a lot of the random acheivements, like killing X targets while they are stumbling back form a melee strike giving you a small bonus to melee damage or something.

They did? I thought only imported level and credits mattered.

Yeah, it would be really cool when achievements would slightly improve your ME3 character, but to make it useful, Bioware first has to come up with some interesting achievements. Most of ME2's are completed missions (one thorough playthrough will net all of em).

Level and 1,000,000 credit achievemnt mattered.  But the find X# of mineral and maybe the turian insignia etc. ones had an effect on starting minerals.  Since I never got those achievements I can not say how big of a boost it was.  But hey maybe the wiki I read it on is wrong, it wouldn't be the first time one was.

If you have LotSB, there's a hardcore achievement for that... I guess since BW made that expansion so much harder than the rest of the game.

I dont think there was an ME1 achievement for minerals, wasnt it just the codex entries? I didnt get it myself, but I think thats what it was.

I beat LOTSB on insanity yesterday, it was fun and not as hard as I thought. I cant tell the difference between Hardcore and Insanity. So Im leaving it on insanity. I got that achievement and the shadow broker wasnt that tough being a vanguard.
