Speaking of Merrill..  does she look like she unaged about 15 years and then her face looks like it was modelled after a mouse.  Posted Image  She was cute in DA:O.  I dislike her in DA2

I really like the new look for Merrill specifically and the elves in general.  I think it's important that, other than pointy ears, the elves have their own distinct look and body type.  In DAO many of the elves looked human to the point that, depending on the hair style, I couldn't even tell unless an NPC pointed it out.  In addition, the new, younger look makes them seem more timeless, and lends itself to the legends about elves being immortal.

But the elves lost their immortality when they were enslaved by humans.  So naturally they'd age.

So just how far down do those tattoo's go on Fenris. And do they glow everywhere. Thoughts?

That takes a whole new meaning to the "after glow" of sex xD

Female Hawke will be positively glowing after sex

I have seen more fanfic pics of Merrill than real pics, and in fanfic artists take freedoms to show how they see. For some reason fanfic often is cartoonish (comp media and faster to do?) and kind of, hmm, can't really say what would be the commonly accepted and used word in art circles.

Edit: I wish I could draw so I could show how I see those companions. It is very very different than fanfiction I have seen. Though I don't have clear visions of DA2 companions yet, but of DA companions I have pretty much enough.

But the Dalish are regaining their longer life spans, as one of the clans in Origins said. I believe it was Zathrian's. So it's only fitting that they'd look somewhat more immortal, even if they're not.

Uh...no. Zatherian was artifically lengthening his life through blood magic.

Zathrian's clan believed their lifespans were getting longer thanks to how long Zathrian was (or is depending on if you let him live).  Besides... I don't remember hearing that and I frequently play as a Dalish...

The only reason they believed that was because Zatherian himself lived so long.

Talk to Lanaya (spelling is wrong I think) she tells you that Zatherian and Zatherian alone may have captured the immortality of their ancestors. She only talks about Zatherians increased lifespan.

And then the Lady of the Forest brings it up again when she debunks it.

It was only Zatherian.

I think it was Gheyna who said it. I always talk to, and sometimes subsequently boink, her.

I just finished Redcliffe... I'm going to the Brecillian Forest now... and I'll talk to her... and all the elves... but I'm 100% positive that was never said...

I think Gheyna's exact words were "We Dalish live longer lifespans than other elves". at the very least it's something along those lines

Nah I don't recall Gheyna mentioningthe keeper. She just goes on about how much she doesn't know or whines about Cammen.

you may need to take a specific dialogue route. Not sure though, I'm on the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest now, and I  always do the BF last

I always do Ozammar last, the Broodmother slaughters my companions at lower levels because she calls other Darkspawn to aid her. Posted Image  Anyway, I'm going to the BF now.

it was only zathrian so far that we've seen, but Lanaya is the one who mentions the Dalish having longer lifespans.

being Dalish is a way of life, not something in the blood.

EDIT: people better not twist those words around to make me say being elven is a way of life or something like that. The Dalish refuse to accept human rule. It's an ideal, not something only apparent in their blood.
