Epic fail. WORST Valentines day ever. Whose bright idea was it to make Merril a romance over Aveline? Seriously? Here's an idea, why not just allow players to romance ANYONE in the party. That'd be much more realistic. Personally, I liked Mass Effects approach. The "If she is a woman, you can [i]tap that![i]" approach is always much better.
That's actually less realistic. Aveline was married, maybe she wants to stay true, even after death. It goes by the character.

Yeah and maybe Hawke manages to score her on the rebound. Things like this happen.JrayM16 wrote...

If Merrill isn't a s/s option I will be very upset. It makes far more sense than her being a straight option.
Why?

That is exactly why there needs to be a place like the Pearl in DA2. Just a place to get some sweet release

And what about Fenris? Hmm. I guess he's not too bad, he cert-- he just punched a guy in the brain. Weeeeeeeell okay then.
Is it just me or are the two male LIs capable of killing Lady Hawke in a variety of highly disturbing and bloody ways? Not that that would stop her or anything...

Bioware, I am disapoint. The only F/F is Isabella, really?
And who would make a better choice? Merrill? I mean in DA:O both male and female Wardens could sleep with Isabella. If that didn't tip you off then I really don't know what to say.

Yes they do. But sometimes they don't. This case falls into the latter.

If Aveline were a romance, this is how it'd go:
Peeps: Omigorsh, come on BioWare, a little creativity? This is Jaheira ALL OVER AGAIN.
Mr. Gaider: That was TEN mother-f@#king years ago! Do you people never forget anything? I'm sick of writing elf romances, and Aveline is a completely different character than Jaheira!
Peeps: Way to scam us out of a new experience. You guys are the ones who keep bringing up BGII. It's your fault we've got it on our minds.
Mr. Gaider: Different. Character. Gah!
Peeps: Also, Merrill is totally Aerie 2.0.

Do we have any reason to assume that only specific LIs are bi, other than simply past games? Could all 4 of them be bi? It doesn't seem like it would require a heck of a lot more coding or voice acting to just make all options available for both genders.

i dont know if anyone has answered this question and i dont want to make a whole thread about it so i was wondering can you romance a character if you are rivals or friends? or do you have to be friends?
Rival romances are indeed possible.
Thanks
Honnestly i would be so damn surpised if Anders is the Bi LI. In no way shape or form did he seem to be intrested in men. But hey we never know, Jutice might of prefered the hotdog which has made Anders bi.

*sigh* I know I was just hoping for another choice, don't really like her that much. On that note, how the hell does she now look completely different then she did in Origins?Eclipse_9990 wrote...

Yes, they can, but I'm sure that our femHawkes can totally tame them (eventually).
