What? Really? I absolutely adored Morrigan, because she wasn't afraid to be herself and just did whatever she pleased.

Like when she leaves her home to guide the Warden and Alistair because her mom tells her to?

Look, I think Morrigan's a great character, but I also think people imagine her to be more independent, cunning, charismatic, etc. than she really was.  I mean, at the beginning of the game, if you ask for her advice, she says she thinks the best course of action is to march straight to Denerim to assassinate Loghain.

Aww. and I was hoping for some Morrigan esque roleplay, hence why I wrote it in first person. Oh well. Another time perhaps. ^_^

You forgot making an arse out of herself by jumping down everybodys throat, Mostly Alistair.

Ah. I can't help but nerdrage whenever I see Morrigan. It's why I stay away from her topic like the plague.

Ugh. I didn't mind that so much though when Alistair managed to get her to be shamed into silence was hilarious. Knowledge a 5 year old has indeed. And the nose convo.  Too funny.

The thing is the party gave as good as they got so I realy didn't mind. IT was just my inability to point out how utterly stupid that Redcliffe idea was...urgh. At least Sten can be reasoned with.

Then she should've STFU about things she didn't understand. That's what an intelligent, manipulative person does. If they don't understand what's going on they observe until they understand and see how they can best turn it to their advantage. They don't open their mouth and give out bad advice (unless they want the person their advicing to fail I'd suppose.)

:lol::lol:

But she DID observe, didn't she? Especially walking around stealthily as a cat, observing human behavior from the darkest corners and concluding that humans cannot be trusted, that all of them are selfish and will put a knife in your back if they will gain from it. That's where her cruel, survival of the fittest philosophy came from in the first place, wasn't it?

Exactly, everything from start to finish was just an act.

Even if that's true, that doesn't mean it was her idea.

Could just tell her to ****** off. She'll still stalk you and break into your room in redcliffe at the end though. <_<

She didn't shut up though. She kept going on and on about things she knew little if anything about.

And her SotF philosophy didn't for some baffling reason extend to her mother now did it? Her mother who she knew wasn't a human being.

And her attitude is SotF for everyone except her. Her hypocrisy was another thing that irked me. "Oh don't help those peasants let them help themselves."

"HELP ME!" QQ

Help your damn self.

"BUT I CAN'T!!"

Huh. Neither could those peasants. But it's much easier to stick your nose in the air then actually open your eyes isn't it?

She obviously went along with it. I'd say that's just as bad. She could have turned away from it at any point if she felt differently. Even though she falls for the male warden, it still comes first.

Which is why I told her to STFU and helped the peasants anyway. And then I helped her too. Because that's how frakking awesome I was :wizard:

I love telling her to ****** off.

And yeah her randomly appearing to offer the DR is ridculous.

"Yo-"

"GTFO."

"But-"

"GTFO!"

"Don't follow me!"

"...Why would I follow you? GTFO of my room so I can sleep."

*Morrigan leaves*

Yeah this is how my next playthrough is gonna go.

It's gonna be a pain to harden Ali and marry him to Anora but it's not that bad.

Well, of course, it would only prove how much she had learned from 'observing' by acting a silent, meek little lamb. Because we all know she wanted her mother dead more than anything. It was that she knew Flemeth like she did that she didn't go against her. She only played her part, acting like joining your quest was never in her agenda when it was part of their cosmic plan all along, and it was then that she started scheming her own little plan her dear mother knew nothing about. So I wouldn't say she wasn't all that what I said earlier.

Why? I only said she pretended to be an obedient daughter while in fact she wasn't at all.

Morrigan had her moments where she proved to be all those things, and then those moments where the slap her mod was really appropriate.

Sometimes, I wish I had gotten the PC version just for all the mods that ended up being made. Maybe I'll get the PC version of DA2, even though I'll already have the PS3 version. Question: do the mods mess up unintentionally characters appearances? Or is that stuff the mod maker does on purpose?

This thread has been derailed twice now in the past couple of hours by love/hate debates on first Jowan and now Morrigan. I will use the power of Fenris to bring it back on topic!

I don't think this thread derailing is such a big deal anymore. It happens like it's commonplace, and I doubt the devs really care.

EDIT: that's a really good Fenris pick.

Yeah I always like that one, but I don't see it re-posted frequently. You're probably right that they don't care, but I thought I'd make an effort... I mean I like Morrigan and Jowan but I don't really feel like having to defend them, haha. Everything is just personal preference!

Lulz.

I was watching a walkthrough of Awakening and I don't think I'd mind too terribly if it's just Anders.

Just...make sure Vengence stays out of the bedroom.

And Anders has alot of mouthwash.

shame. it's really well drawn.

I wonder if there have been any Carver fanart drawings where he doesn't have a HERPDERP face.

Every time I get squicked out by Anders' eating habits, I watch this video and it goes away.

I'm trying my best to get through awakening again, soo bad though. Anders is funnier than I remember, justice is still as bland as ever.

@Morningbird. That video makes me rage. So sick of that ugly kid model and it annoys the hell out of me that they kept it in. It didn't look good then and it still doesn't look good now.
