Ah you mean LoTSB? Let's not forget that Liara isn't even "female" despite being a member of an all female race. *shakes head*
Anyways if the bi LI is an NPC I want him to be a templar.A sexy but tormented templar for my apostate! Hawke.

In all the RPGs BioWare has ever released, the player had to work towards the romance with the NPCs, but in ME2 it was like "I want you" and done, those charismatic words got you free access to nearly anyone.
Anyways, I really, REALLY didn't like how little effort was required for the LIs in ME2, so I'm kind of concerned with DA-2. Will it be similarily as easy, or will it more resemble Origins and ME1?
For Origins you could kind of Ninja-in a romance before you'd even completed a single quest... for many, many characters. In fact, in this regard, Zevran was one of the hardest to romance (you need to complete all main quests and get to the Landsmeet and confront Taleisen before he will become "love"). I think the original ME was the most fun/realistic though -- I'm thinking it'll be like that since you can't prompt conversation anytime/anyplace just by talking to them. Or, at least I hope it'll be like that!

Eh. I see no reason for them to keep it a secret if that was the case. I'm just not seeing it. I think the bi LIs are probably going to be outside the party.
I would like if Seb was a LI too. Very sexy accent.

Well, there are a few reasons why they would keep it a secret.
The first is that they actually have no obligation to tell us anything.lol
The second is that they feed on the human suffering of their fans.
And the third (and this PURELY speculation on my part) is based off some observations I made in the Fenris thread, when we were still guessing who the voice actor for him could be.
Someone said something along the lines of, "If it's not 'THIS PERSON', I will eat my hat." and a dev was very quick to correct them by suggesting they eat it with salt. However, when someone CORRECTLY guessed that it was Gideon Emery, absolute silence.
That being said, I think that if all of the LI's weren't bi, someone would have mentioned it by now, or at least cleared up some of the word confusion in both that one game article (which said you could persue anyone, be they man, woman, or a human possessed by the spirit of Justice) and the first post of this thread (which says "These are your love interests, pitch your woo accordingly.")
But no one has bothered to correct ishmaeltheforsaken, who is saying, "They ARE all bi." Not "I think they're all bi." or the article, or even Chris's post... which leads me to believe that there's simply NO REASON to correct them (because they're right.lol)

It just seems suspicious to me, so I too am choosing to believe they're all bi.
Which is actually kind of funny.

Click a button, lost my post, a little ticked off lol.
I'm afraid I didn't express myself properly. When I was saying 'rushed and effortless' I didn't mean right out the gates everyone is hot for you. I meant that it wasn't the same build up that you got with Liara, Ashley or Kaiden. When I was playing my first run-through I was pretty much in the dark about who I was wooing, and all of a sudden I get an option with virtual every companion that ran along the same lines of "I want you."

Yes this.

Edit: And going back to the "you never meet a bi LI first" thing you never do. Granted you don't always meet a straight LI first but of the two LIs you meet you always meet the straight one first. Without fail. If there's a straight option that's not bi as well (Sky) you'll always meet the straight options first.lilliful wrote...

Lolz. Dem Templars. I actually hope my mage Hawke gets captured just so I can flirt with a ew templars. I might even flirt with Meredith. <3
And then run very very far away before she beheads me.

Yeah I totally get what you mean for ME2. Twice I had to re-load a save because I had accidentally won a priiiiiiiiiiize. And then he gets super mad at you if you break it off. I also didn't think the sudden "omg ilu" in ME2 made any sense like... really Thane? You don't even know me. So yeah, I completely understand. I'm hoping it's well-paced and realistic for DA2 as well.

I hope two of them are real bi love interests and the other ones at least able to fall in love with you if you work hard enough and persuade them. there are enough people in reality who describes themselves as hetero and who still loved one person of the same gender in the past. Especially straight girls can fall in love with other girls if it's worth it. I made the experience myself.

What? I honestly don't think they would go through the trouble of making whole new characters solely for the s/s romances, even if they're just NPCs. It's just more practical to develop the group you already have especially when the option is bisexual as opposed to gay, from a game standpoint it takes less manoeuvring to make an established companion bi than making a whole new guy just for that. I dunno, it just makes no sense to me that BioWare would go out of their way to make the m/m romance option a totally different character that isn't part of your integral group. The m/m option is definitely in the group of four that have been revealed, I would bet good money on that.
