I know it's frustrating but this is just way paranoid IMO.

Romance threads are breeding grounds for unreasonable fears and expectations.

If someone is afraid there are no same-sex romances, everything they see will be bent to confirm it. If someone really, really wants all the romances to be bisexual, everything they read will be taken as confirmation as that.

This is absolutely true. The most hand-wringing I've seen on the forums are about romance options. First it was about who would be an LI. Now that we've gotten confirmation of that, we're at this stage.

I mean, I don't understand why the s/s options aren't clearly stated, but I hardly see it as confirmration that none of them are either.

Or that all of them are. Regardless, I remain buttressed by unshakeable certainty.

Obviously it's because the s/s option is the as yet unreveled Qunari female companion.

Or maybe I'm just reading what I want to see into it.

Nah. The unrevealed female Qunari is just a temporary companion, and she's Varric's wife.

They may try to make Hawke Tranquil, since she hasn't faced the Harrowing.

Though depending on how much trouble Hawke stirs up and how violent the Kirkwall Templars are (which seems to be a lot), they may just try to kill Hawke and write off the death to their superiors as 'resisting' as seems to be the case so often.  After all, a Templar is a drug addict.

Ah true. Imagine if they managed to succeed with Bethany. Poor Bethany. :( That would probably give even a pro-chantry Hawke reason to dismantle the Chantry in Kirkwall.

And yeah I can easily see the Templars deciding Hawke was too much trouble.

Cassandra is deeply and passionately in love with Sandal. Get over it.

Maybe.
Chances are low though.

I had hope it would be possible, but I'm not holding my breath. Posted Image

Do you really have those? Because I kind of do. If Hawke can't have him, it's like the next best thing.

I really like both of them. I never expected that touch of vulnerability and desperation to her character, and it makes me very curious.

He just seems like he could be a viable option...

Oh, I TOTALLY have those.  I'm not joking.  Though I admit, my grounds for shipping them are pretty baseless.  They just seem to have a strange sort of chemistry in those interrogation room cutscenes that I really like, and wouldn't mind seeing explored further romantically.

Either way, I can't wait to see more of these two.  :)

True and if he wasn't DLC I'd be eating my hat about him not being romanceable.

But he's DLC.

This is why I'm still on the fence.  Sebastian looks SO MUCH like a romance option that I can't completely dismiss the possibility. xD

I'm with you on this. And we KNOW he has flirt dialogue. I feel like at least a half-romance has got to come out of this. Plus he's bishy and angry. Just my type.

EDIT: Plus, Shale was by no means under-done. She commented on tons of actions you took throughout the world of Thedas, and had very plot-central and involved dialogue with Caridin. And she ended up being the favorite or second-favorite character for many. To me, that means that BioWare is not afraid to pack a lot of very important and amazing content into an at-release included-DLC. Shale wasn't fit for a romance option at all, but since Seb is, I could see them taking it there.

The flirts may just result in him letting us down gently, though. :-/

Yeah, I could see another Samara. In which case I would be all NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOmodmodmodfanfic. Alas, BioWare has made me used to getting my satisfaction elsewhere.

Funny, the more I think about it the more I see him as another femHawke only romance option in which case I'm going to hate this dlc so much.
I think he just might be an experiment in DLC romances after all but if this is the case I also fear they weren't brave enough to make him bi.

Being gay IRL doesn't mean you can't enjoy an RPg romance.

Exactly. I couldn't really come up with the words for it, but that's exactly why I liked Cassandra so much more than I thought I would. That moment when she asks Varric, "Will you?" about him making everything up... the way she says it, the look on her face... Varric/Cass roxXorz my soxXorz.

Is anybody quietly watching the madness going on in the Fenris thread now that it's rumored he was previously married / is possibly still married / how would he know with the memory-loss? Supposed leak to a forumite from a friend who works in a magazine. Not sure of the veracity, or what Gaider is doing with it, but if that's the case... a mighty fine day it is to you too, Anders.

I thought it was just speculation...not that the concept upsets me or anything.

True but in this case with the two other possibilities being a mental patient and a JRPG runaway it would feel like a giant slap in the face. And I do enjoy other romances from time to time, Morrigan in Origins was one and I think I'm one of the biggest Revan/Bastilla fans.
One thing that's eerily similar to real life though is that I first have to like the characters, with Anders being slightly annoying in Awakenings and a certified mental patient, I just can't see that happening.
And while Fenris might turn out to be a great character I, personally, cannot get over his teenage JRPG looks in order to take him serious as a romance.
Ah... well at least I'll have Isabella and FemHawke left.

Besides real life sexuality is at most peripherally related to the enjoyment of RPG romances with only Anders or Fenris there are at present no men I find even vaguely attractive as possible romantic partners  for me to pursue in DA2.
