Fortunately, her condition will be cured, come March 8th, when she's seperately love-tapped by all 4 of the bisexual LI's.

Hawke: Um... Mr. Fenris, sir? Here's my application to be your twu wuv.
Fenris: Yes, thank you. *reads* Hmm... Hmmm. Oh. Oh. Interesting.
Hawke: *excited*
Fenris: Very interesting...
Hawke: :o
Fenris: Thank you, Hawke. I really appreciate your submission, but I regret to inform you that your application has been... DENIED.
Hawke: *dies*

I bet he's even got one of those stamps that stamps DENIED in big red letters across Hawke's application, hasn't he?

I am depress.

Uh-huh.

Your heads will be yanked out of the clouds when you realize that everyone is indeed not bisexual.

Well of course not everyone's bi!  That would be silly!

... Just all of the LI's are.

Being British, I am not one to engage in public acts of affection, but I feel this is a barrier I must overcome in order to GLOMP YOU ALL WITH BIG GLOMPINESS. Because you're all awesome. No. Really. I mean it.

Now, enough of all that ... stiff upper lip, what?

He does indeed. But instead of stamping it on paper, he goes around and stamps it on a possible LI's forehead.

There are a lot of people walking around in Kirkwall with the word DENIED stamped across their foreheads.

@lilliful Denied? DENIED? DENIED?

I approve of 'Active', 'Committed', and 'Intimate'. I fret over 'Completed'. I'm already crying over 'Ended'. And I'm ready to fall on my sword over 'Denied'.
But thank you, my liege, for your dedication to the romance cause. *bows*

Denied.... now that's interesting.  I wonder how that works within the Rivalry system considering you can still romance someone who's your rival....

I've got Ryz figured out. She's being all down so that when she finds out they're all bi, she can say she's even happier than we are, because she's surprised. She won't be, though, because the only thing more euphoric than them all being bi is the satisfaction of being right.

Perhaps denied means Hawke has denied his love to Fenris? Like, Fenris was all 'Nawwww ... I think I like you Hawke', and Hawke was like, 'yeah, I get that, but I'm just not that into you'. And now Fenris is the one with a big fat DENIED on his head.

That has got to be the only possible explanation. Because there is no way I Hawke would cope being denied by Fenris.

I think Bioware is smart to lure the romance-reading population into gaming via the delicious little romance threads which have now become standard fare for the games they make. They could even push the gaming envelope a little farther if they wanted to- an interactive romance story game. If it were even moderately well done/produced, it would be a hit with bored housewives the world over. Why bother to read a print novel, when you could have a tv screen full of your own beautiful Highland warrior, voiced by a man with a sexy brogue? I think there's a huge market there, just waiting for its collective bodice to be ripped!
:kissing:

This is an awesome idea. Props

Thank you very much. Do you think game developers will listen?   B)

I absolutely agree - just wish I were young enough to learn game design and start my own company dedicated to this sort of interactive romance! It's crazy that most game developers target teenaged and young adult males and seem to think that old ladies like me are only interested in hidden object games. :P That why I adored DAO - the potential for multiple romance storylines and endings based upon player choice (just think of what one could do with a story like Gone With The Wind if you had the opportunities to influence Scarlett's choices). :D

Exactly. Really, the idea just needs a woman (or a man brave enough) with vision and know-how to make it work. If you think of the profits made in romance books, and all of the romance sub-genres...it's staggering. I know I personally fork out plenty of money if the story is good, and I can't get it at the library. There is a huge market there comprised of woman over the age of 30. Good grief, I would LOVE an interactive Gone With The Wind- what fun to rip Rhett's clothes off after he carries you up the stairs, eh? Or something historical around the time of Braveheart. There are just so many possibilities.

Also, following the same line of thought, there really is a huge market in this for teens as well. How many girls are buying and reading paranormal romance? So, why isn't there an interactive vampire romance or werewolf or fallen angel game for teens? I know alot of young women that would drop-kick their Halo playing brothers out the door for a chance to play a game like that. Game developers are seriously missing the boat here! The boy market is well covered with all the zombie and shooter games, but what girl wouldn't pay $60 to have her own game where she gets to kiss a vampire??? Sheesh, game companies really need to listen and start making the kind of games that will attract more women- young and old. It just seems so obvious...

Hear, hear! Who should we call? .... :D

Lol same.

I can't even follow this thread with all that yay yay romances cheering.

With movies I always ask "why yet again stupid and uninteresting romance". At times I have wondered is it women's job to be romanceable chars in movies or is it women who want there are romances in every movie.

Well being a male I also look forward to the romances in most bioware games. I don't see how this is some kind of "Women do this" thing.

I was waiting for MorningBird or lilliful to speak up, but apparently their engines stalled. Anyway, guess who just made it onto our hit list? ;D

It never ceases to make me grin in amusement at how people who proclaim to have no interest in romance in video games make a point of reading and commenting upon romance threads. Not just once, but several times.

brb, grinning with amusement forever.

So there are going to be non-companion LIs. Maybe neither Anders nor Fenris are the bi option.

I was just about to say something similar.

I also find it amusing that they need to announce their departure like they'll be sorely missed.

That I have noticed there is notable amount of men requesting romances. So I am not wondering anymore is it women who want romances in movies.
