So there are going to be non-companion LIs. Maybe both Anders and Fendris are the bi option.
If by that you mean "They're all bi," then yes.

And also, fixed it for you.

It never ceases to make me grin in amusement at how people who proclaim to have no interest in romance in video games make a point of reading and commenting upon romance threads. Not just once, but several times.
brb, grinning with amusement forever.

I think Bioware is smart to lure the romance-reading population into gaming via the delicious little romance threads which have now become standard fare for the games they make. They could even push the gaming envelope a little farther if they wanted to- an interactive romance story game. If it were even moderately well done/produced, it would be a hit with bored housewives the world over. Why bother to read a print novel, when you could have a tv screen full of your own beautiful Highland warrior, voiced by a man with a sexy brogue? I think there's a huge market there, just waiting for its collective bodice to be ripped!
This is an awesome idea. Props
Thank you very much. Do you think game developers will listen?
I absolutely agree - just wish I were young enough to learn game design and start my own company dedicated to this sort of interactive romance! It's crazy that most game developers target teenaged and young adult males and seem to think that old ladies like me are only interested in hidden object games. That why I adored DAO - the potential for multiple romance storylines and endings based upon player choice (just think of what one could do with a story like Gone With The Wind if you had the opportunities to influence Scarlett's choices).
Exactly. Really, the idea just needs a woman (or a man brave enough) with vision and know-how to make it work. If you think of the profits made in romance books, and all of the romance sub-genres...it's staggering. I know I personally fork out plenty of money if the story is good, and I can't get it at the library. There is a huge market there comprised of woman over the age of 30. Good grief, I would LOVE an interactive Gone With The Wind- what fun to rip Rhett's clothes off after he carries you up the stairs, eh? Or something historical around the time of Braveheart. There are just so many possibilities.
Also, following the same line of thought, there really is a huge market in this for teens as well. How many girls are buying and reading paranormal romance? So, why isn't there an interactive vampire romance or werewolf or fallen angel game for teens? I know alot of young women that would drop-kick their Halo playing brothers out the door for a chance to play a game like that. Game developers are seriously missing the boat here! The boy market is well covered with all the zombie and shooter games, but what girl wouldn't pay $60 to have her own game where she gets to kiss a vampire??? Sheesh, game companies really need to listen and start making the kind of games that will attract more women- young and old. It just seems so obvious...
Hear, hear! Who should we call? ....

Lol same.
I can't even follow this thread with all that yay yay romances cheering.
With movies I always ask "why yet again stupid and uninteresting romance". At times I have wondered is it women's job to be romanceable chars in movies or is it women who want there are romances in every movie.

Funny thing is, my wife always "joins" me when I play BW games, giving me a second pair of eyes (and looking stuff up when I get stuck or when "Morrigan Disapproves"). Not only does she enjoy watching me play through the romances, I have strict suggestions to romance Garrus on my next femShep ME2 run.
Back on topic...I was looking forward to a Merrill romance before learning who her VA was. Now...dang. Here's hoping that the "she won't be a good healer" thing is a misunderstanding.
